I've got the new dampner tubes, top plate and new shock mount. It has made the car better. More rear traction. I don't know when they are going to release them. I will see chicky this weekend so I will see if he knows.

Somebody at Serpent told me they hope September. But the first link car was also a bit late.

Thanks Steve,

Let me know what you find out, I've been waiting a few months for some extra little parts....the conversion kit will be a nice addition to the current set-up.

Getting the new parts would be nice, but I would settle for getting some of the regular ones, like alternate side springs or replacement links.

Default Parts

I agree with the lack of parts . Serpent has had a busy year with the release of an 1/8 scale buggy and prototype S400 kit etc etc. The S120L is a great kit, incredible quality and parts that fit. But as a company they need to support the 12th scale kit much better. Waiting months for parts is unacceptable. Product support is hit or miss in R/C sometimes.

Busy or not they should have parts available so the LHS can get them from the importers here in the UK

Futaba, JR or Ko is the best. I use a Futaba BLS651. The sanwa is not strong enough and does not fit well in the chassis.

I use the KO PDS-951-ICS and it works great in the car. You can also use the older model of that servo which is the PDS-949-ICS which is equally as good.

It seems the parts are coming in now. I use the blue Associated side springs on my car. Also, the Associated side links work perfectly.

If you have budget considerations, the Futaba 9650 works quite well and is much less expensive.

Default serpent battery fit

Does anyone have any good ideas on how to keep the lipo battery in this car or is there a kit or battery hold kit.

I have the Tbar version of the S120 and I use little thin strips of lexan as guides to hold the lipo saddle battery thatI use. They are servo tape in with some really thin double sided tape that I have. I cut the strips just wide enough to fit in the graphite slots but they are cut a little shorter than the slots so that I can move the cells forward or to the rear for handling. Works very well and is light.
