What is the biggest 64pitch spur can be use in S120?

What is the gear ratio for 4.5 5.5 and 6.5T? thanks

No idea on the largets spur (not sure why you would ask).

For a 4.5 I gear 24/96 with a 1.68 Rear Tire.

regarding gear sizing, i find it easier to determine the range of total number of teeth. (spur + pinion).

for a given motor can and pod plates, install the diff with whatever spur you have and find the smallest and largest pinion you can install. now you have the minimum and maximum total # of teeth that you can use.

then, for a target rollout and tire size, there are range of pinion/spur combos that fit within that adjustment.

hmm, i suppose the largest spur limit would have more to do with your minimum rear tire size?

I've been racing mine in 13.5 boosted for a year or so with no trouble. If you want to beef it up try these:https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...c=ns&pn=OP102B

They are beefier and should last without a problem.

I think it's better but can't really say how much. I think the best change I made was to put a R5 front end on mine (takes special parts from On-point). The car didnt over-rotate with the R5 like it did with the Serpent. With the mono-shock I had to keep increaing the oil thickness to get the feel I wanted and eventually I was up to 90wt which started to (hydra-lock) the shock. Another words too thick of oil for the size of shock. I think this is what started the Dampner Tube conversions.

Oh, If anyone is interested I have a anodized Serpent front-end I would sell for $60. The metal inserts are blck and the 10degree blocks are Orange. E-mail me for pictures.

looking at the picture it appears the tubes are very short and intended to fit in the same location as the monoshock.

but if the center ball studs stack above and below the one inserted in the plastic thing, i don't see how that center connection is stable. something tricky must be done to limit the center connection pivoting, or they just stack the center ball studs below the shock stay? just guessing.

The newest kits have a different cross brace and top plate that accept the tubes. There will be a conversion available from Serpent or parts separate.

Until that is available On-Point makes a conversion that works really well. Available at Stormer.

He guys!
Yes, we are the distributors of On-Point racing. Check www.speedtechrc.de
and drop us an email. The homepage is not up to date, as we are creating a new page, that will be online in a few weeks.

I recently have left Team Serpent as a team driver, but we will continue working together with On-Point, based on AE and Serpent cars.

Take care.
