Hara is Japanese, and he lives in the US (At least for the summer)
He won the ROAR Sedan fuel nats with an HPI R4O gas car. Hara also won the DHI Cup in Januray see here: http://www.teamorion.com/live/results-cars.asp?id=148

I had a Pro2 but sold it once the TC3 FT came out and I saw how flexible the Pro3 was. It looks like HPI got it right with the Pro4.
I can't wait til I get my tax refund check

1. ROAR Paved On-Road Nationals (2003 winner: Pavidis, TC3)
2. Cleveland US Champs (2003 winner: Blackstock, TC3)
3. Reedy Race (2003 winner: Baker, TC3)
4. Snowbirds (2004 winner: Burch, Xray)
5. ROAR Carpet Nationals (2003 winner: Blackstock, TC3)

Every other year, though, the IFMAR Worlds race has to be King.

The same week of the Snowbirds, I believe Hara was overseas competing... Thailand, perhaps? I don't recall. He finished 2nd or 3rd in some big race against Surikarn, Masami, etc.
I'd agree with you if the Paved Nats ever sold out, but we had 500+ entries at Cleveland this year, and a waiting list longer than your arm. The last two paved Nats were a little disappointing by comparison.

I think the Reedy Race is THE Asphalt TC race of the year, every year. The format makes it better than the Worlds IMHO. I'm not totally opposed to the idea of moving to that format to decide the World Championship.

I think what Shane is saying is that even though Cleveland and Snowbirds are the largest races, majority of people only care about the ROAR Nationals for the most part. Yes they are smaller but they have been the area of focus for so long. Maybe I am wrong but I think that is what Shane meant.

Yea, I'm not talking about size of entries, I'm talking about what the manufacturers want to win. Nothing says "buy my car" like official National Champion.

HPI CHALLENGE - 15 Feb (Hara TQed & Won both EP & GP Touring)
and
Thailand International Touring Car Championship - 20-22 Feb (Hara got 2nd in MOD)

I read it from www.tq-racing.com
