Yeah, my 5 year old BC112 is still going strong, just don't use it for the NiMH cause its H27... If I could get it upgraded, it would be right there on my pit table.

Sorry you had trouble. I e-mailed them this morning and just heard back from them. They're getting things put together so let's be patient and see what happens. So far, I've talked to them by phone and e-mail and they've been very friendly. Like Jim said on his web page....they really didn't want to go public yet. Let's give them time to get the ball rolling. The best we can do is wish them good luck and let them know that if they offer the quality and performance of the OLD Tekin ....there's a bunch of people willing to support them !! Good Luck Team Tekin !!!

I feel bad for the new owners, alot of people have tekin products which are in need of repair and they're going to have to fix them even though the didnt sell them.

Agree there, at least that's how it was years ago before I got out of the Hobby. I fried 2 Tekin ESCs after switching from a Novak, and I owned Novak from there on out with no problems. However I did have some Tekin chargers besides my Turbo Charger and they were great. When I got back into the hobby a couple months ago I wasn't exactly shocked to hear Tekin had gone under.

pfft...
i dunno about you, but nowadays, novaks are blowing up left and right (GT7)

Man, i hope Tekin Comes back and does something with the cummunicator LED of the BC112C and BC112A

I look forward to tekin's rise from the ashes, one of my favorite speedos was the speedstar.... 10T motor limit, very efficient, very small even by todays standards, and the best part was the price!!! $45...ohhh yeah!!! God I wish I hadn't given that one to my dad..... now he won't give it back!!!!!

I think it would be fair to say that all those old products are not under warranty and they would be charged for any needed repairs. They'll probably have alot of work but they'll also be making money.

I bet they're all way out of warranty.
The big companys don't repair stuff for customers anymore. Novak and LRP as example. You send in a broken product, and some cash, and they send you another one (in a new case with new wires) that has been repaired. This way you don't have to wait for the repair, as soon as they get the broken one they send you another that's already been fixed (sometimes youre lucky and they send you new one).
Novak even offers you to upgrade cheaply, you just pay slightly more for upgrade to better product than for plain repair, you can also specify new item for the old one. And they make money on it. The price you pay for "the repair" is very close to the price companys like Tower pay for new products.
Usually it's cheaper for the company to build new item in automated machine than to pay human to repair the old one.

According to Tekin's original owner any of the 112 series chargers can be used for Ni-Mh's. Charge the packs on the first (P) setting. This has a threshold setting that is right for newer batteries. Do not use the Power-Flex setting for these types of cells.
