Hopefully the ring just gets worked into the normal Lilac production foam line to become the norm.

Well they're definitely gonna be making more because of the NEGS so I'm fairly certain if you call BSR you can get them with the ring and if enough people take interest I'm pretty sure they would have no problems in continuing to make them.

Well im glad to hear some light is at the end of the tunnel. Sure dont want a Foam/Rubber thing because the importors will get upset but to me its just silly. All that I have seen over here is an increase cost to racing and ALOT of people have fallen out of the sport due to this. Racing at this stage with LiPO and Brushless has never been cheaper apart from one factor.

Myself I knew I had to fall out of high end racing when Rubber came in a few years ago over here, along with a lot of others not long after. I had a long break from racing and never lost the love for it. Yes I am back racing and have been for over a year now but wont be doing any high end racing until they sort this out. Trying to explain to people about the cost to keep good tires up it is hard when you get people saying they use 20 to 40 run old tires.

I can never understand one point, they bring in Control rubber but then allow you to use traction compound to uncontrol the control. In turn you increase wear and guess what, you have to buy more tire sets and the circle goes round and round.

I know im going to get a lot of flack about this post and I dont really care. I dont post anything in the rubber race threads and leave them alone to have their world the way they want it. I choose to just not post as I choose to not race at rubber event.

Just hope there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Coxy.

wow - it's good to have friends? I hope to peel you both soon at Horsham....

the lilac tires performed really well at the Halloween Classic. the tires held up very well after applying a thin bead of ca to the edges. all in all, lilac tires were not a failure....

Ken Miller loaned me a couple of sets to use yesterday (13.5) and I liked them. They seemed to hold up well and the car ran just fine switching from XX Pink to Lilac. I'd be all for mandating a spec foam tire nationwide, especially if it helps take away some of the "hassle" (tire maintenance) that turns people away from foam racing. Granted they still need to be maintained but they last more runs and are more durable.

Lilac tires? Not a failure.

My car's horrible tweak and my rusty driving skills yesterday? FAILURE.

what i like most is they also work really good at bigger dia. and unlike the magenta compound you dont have to cut over half the tire away for them to work.

The Jaco's and BRS are available at any of the 4 grandslam tracks. If a shop wishes to buy them for their store for the BSR tires please contact BSR. For the Jaco's you can contact me @ [email protected]

Glad everyone liked them!

Paul

Drove Rosko's car the other day with the new spec foam and they felt great on the track that wasn't even fully grooved in. A spec foam touring class at the local tracks might get me interested in running foams again.
