Lightbulb Associated RC10L3T need some help

Hi guys,

im thinking about to get the RC10L3T Chassis from my friend.
It is the one with the damper plate in the middle.
Now i have some questions.

Where will i find a shop who have spare and options parts in stock?

Which front end parts would fit the l3t?
Perhaps the front end of the RC12l4 oder RC10R5 or what else?

Is this car easy to drive and what will break easily?

Is the car still competitive?

Or would be the Corally CCT a better option?

I will drive with a 13.5 motor and a 7,4 lipo in a rc series that called Pro10S here in germany.

Thanks for replys.

- Spare and options for the L3T are pretty hard to find. Maybe Ebay? A lot of RC12L4 parts will fit this car.

- Front end parts are the same as the: RC10L2, RC10LS, RC10L4O, RC12L4, CRC cars, HotBodies front end. The R5 front end will not fit because it has M3 bolts and the holes are no match.

- The car is good to drive, depends on the setup and your own skills.

- YES! It will be competitive. Last weekend I raced against one and got beaten by it.

- No, the CCT is not a better option. In the RC10L3T you can fit brushless and lipo easier and better than in the CCT.

If you like you can send me your email adress. Then I can send you some manuals of some Associated cars so that you can check for yourself which parts fit and which won't

You mention it has the damper plate, so it will be the sport edition, not the team edition. You'll need to get some bearings, that being the case.

I can say, the L3 works great with lipo and brushless (saddle pack 2s and 17.5)

the only things you cant get for that car are chassis parts and the front bumper.. everything else comes from the long line of rc10l cars.. the car runs great, but i'd get something modern cause the chassis issue.. unless you get a great deal...

the sport version also has a frp chassis, not a carbon chassis.

I think i also had contact with your friend about that same car. Does it also come with a rc10l3 oval chassis etc?

I still have a rc10l2 (same as rc10l3 except 235mm) and spares is not a problem. Axles and hubs are IRS, and you can still buy the old crc aluminium bulkheads wich are the same as assosicated. T-bars are not a problem either.

All the parts are interchangeble from other brands 1/12 and 1/10 as long as they use the old version associated style front suspension.
For front suspension you can use crc's, hotbodies, bmi, corally etc etc. They are all the same copy from asso except for some small tweeks here and there. On ebay you can still find bottom and upper plates sometimes.

Hi,

thanks for all replys.
It has a carbon chassis and its not the sport version my buddy said.
He has the original side dampers and the upper plate for fix the dampers.
It has bearings .

@ 2wdrive

you are correct.
Did you talk to em or know em?
Where you interessted in this car too?

For me i will take this car.
And if the spares interchangeable with other brands, is that perfect.
Ill get new in this class and donīt want to buy a expensive new car.
If i like this, sooner or later i will buy a new car like the Xray X10 or something else.

As for the front end you wan the dynamic strut front end, corral also mage an associated based conversion you may be able to find cheap or yes if you find an old 12l4 that car has the dynamic strut front end as well
