Default Getting back in... lipo???

Im dusting off my r/c stuff from a few years ago and wanting to get back into it. I was going to go brushless, but I dont want to invest into the ESC/BM right now. so I'm going to stick with car equipment as it was from 2007... but I want to go LIPO cause i hated battery maintenance back then.

well, Im going to stick with my t2-007 and gtx, and old school stock motors since i have tons of them, and the tools to maintain them. plus I will be the underdog running old school stuff. but I want to run LIPO. what lipo can fit into the STOCK height of a t2-007 carpet chassis. I just sent back my GFX for the lipo update so that is covered...

also, what the balance for in LIPO, how often does it need to be done,
sorry for the questions, its been a long time since ive even done r/c. I tried the search feature but there is way to much to take in.

if anyone has lipo and a gfx35 and has any preferred 'general' settings please help a brotha out
