power supply question
I have been using the ice charger to charge my 5000 lipos at 5 amps with a team checkpoint balancer and a old mrc power supply i took off my old mrc 969 charger.I recently noticed my power supply sais it puts out 13.5 volts dc at 5 amps.I have been told by someone at the track that i should have more amps coming from my power supply than i will be using for charging. Is this correct?

It is usually a good idea to have more amps in the PS than what you are charging at. Some chargers will not charge at 5 amps with only a 5 amp power supply as some of the energy must be used to power the different functions on the charger. Plus having a higher amp PS gives you more options in the future in case you want to run a 2nd charger at the same time or a tire truer. You never know what the future holds
