So... Trying to decide between another RS Pro or a MMX Pro.... Seen them run side by side.. Seems like Tekin has more punch and Castle has more top end capability? What are your observations?

I have not used one in a 12th scale but in a TC the MMP is better all around. Way more punch out of the corner and much more top end.

The only drawback are weak breaks. If you run on tracks with a 180 at the end of the straight it will be tough to drive currently.

Actually I'm not running either one of those cars anymore. I sold the T2'008 and I replaced the T2 with another T2 with all blue parts. It's much purdier, almost as purdy as my T3.

As for broken parts what can I say, XRay's are almost Bruce proof.

Set the break at 60% and drag break at around 20% and you will be good.

I have to say MMM Pro hands down. My track is dominated by LRP and Tekin. I put the whole field a lap down my first time out with MMM Pro on 13.5 Expert class. I'm about 0.6-0.8 seconds lap Faster. And the top end speed and punch on MMM Pro is crazy I have to turn down the beast to mellow it out.

I will be using this MM Pro in a Sedan racing in 13.5 and 17.5. I here some people are removing the BEC for more punch and top end speed, is this true? Are dose this just apply to single cell racing to help with voltage ?

Single cell only.

The bec removal trick will work for more than one cell, not sure if that gives anymore voltage to the motor or not, and you have to run a reciever pack or provide some kind of radio power. Running a seperate reciever pack will help even on 2 cell as the radio is given better more consistant power, no brownouts and less glitching.

Here are a couple pics of my MMP with the case removed, and heat sink cut down, this makes the ESC much smaller and lighter, the same as an LRP SPX with in a gram or so if I remember right from weighing both before it went in the car.
Mine has been working good so far, I have run it 2 race days in Stock, 17.5 1s lipo, worked good but I did not have the settings dailed in and no laptop with at the track to tune it, there was an RS powered car or two that were faster, but not by much.
I have also run this in mod class twice, with a 5.5 motor on 1s lipo, works well and is smooth, the speedo gets pretty warm, 120 degrees measuring thru the shrink wrap, I have to play with some more settings for either class as I have been having radio problems, transmitter related, and haven't had much time to play with the ESC....JEFF
