No i am not new and i can mesh gears just fine, it just that all my cars run 48P gears and i find them a lil loud.

I use Top Cad spur gears. They are a carbon composite gear that does not flex and is more resistant to stripping.
These are the same spurs as on the Yokomo YRX-12.
They come in 48 and 64 pitch.
