Some major difficulties with the wether this day and as a result some big changes in the qualifiers. Luckily Jilles good first qualifier still keeps him in the A main on the third place. To tell you that it isn't easy David S. was just able to qualify for the A-mains after the fifth quaifyer!

The results after the 5th qualifier is as follows:
1. Levanen Juho (Associated) 5:11:41
2. Drescher Craig (Associated) 5:11:71
3. Groskamp Jilles (XRAY) 5:12:83
4. Leino Teemu (Schumacher) 5:14:93
5. Kaerup Jonas (Associated) 5:15:34
6. Ahoniemi Sakke (Corally) 5:15:52
7. Ahoniemi Simo (Corally) 5:15:64
8. Spashett David (Losi) 5:15:94
9. Honigl Huber (Losi) 5:16:16
10. Steenari Jukka (Losi) 5:16:31

As you can see from the qualifiers as well is that Associated is realy looking for the win. Even Mr Reedy and Mr Baker are here to help the team!

Default European Championships

Just read that a car was disqualified because it was 0.5mm width

The EFRA system workes on a best time in all qualifiers, so there are no points added per qualifier.

A driver was disqualified because he did not marshall himself, but his father did

A driver was first disqualified because his car was below minimum weight, but when he returned the car was heavy enough...... After all he is allowed to start in the A-finales in 10th place......

XRAYs did better in warm weather than in wet. The weather for sunday is to be expected very bad........

Martin Hudy qualified 42!

Worst qualifier after 5 rounds of qualifying with an over 5 minute run was Vladimir Golikov with 10 rounds in 5:19:99. He is one of 4 Russian drivers. Best Russian qualifier is 84th. Starting to learn the driving!

Worst qualifier overal aftre 5 rounds of qualifying was Anto Mateo Rodriquez with 6 rounds. He only drove 3:28:26 and came all the way from Spain to do this..........

Gilles showed his great driving. With rain sarting to fall just before the race, it really was a difficult one, but Gilles managed to show his and the XRays driving capabilities:

The results of the second final:

1. Groskamp Jilles (XRAY)
2. Drescher Craig (Associated)
3. Leino Teemu (Schumacher)
4. Spashett David (Losi)
5. Hongil Hubert (Losi)
6. Kaerup Jonas (Associated)
7. Ahoniemi Sakke (Corally)
8. Levanen Juho (Associated)
9. Fost Markus (GM)
10. Ahoniemi Simo (Corally)

Still three possible European Champions: Gilles, Juho and Craig. If Juho would not have made Gilles to crash in the first A we would now have a XRay driver being European champion!

Sit down realx, start breathing. The last final has a result. And yes, Gilles was close. Extremely close, but........... he did not make it. A second place in the third final was not enough, since only the two best counted...... Even being the most consistant during a three days driving, and three finals were / are not considered enough to be the European champion. However, XRay has once again proven to be a great car!

See the total overview from Team Orion:

1. Levanen Juho SF Associated 2 1 8 1 8
2. Groskamp Jilles NL XRAY 3 2 1 2 2
3. Drescher Craig GB Associated 5 3 2 3 3
4. Leino Teemu SF Schumacher 9 6 3 6 6
5. Ahoniemi Simo SF Corally 9 4 10 5 10
6. Honigl Hubert A Losi 9 10 5 4 10
7. Spashett David GB Losi 9 5 4 7 7
8. Kaerup Jonas DK Associated 14 8 6 8 8
9. Markus Fost G GM 16 7 9 9 9
10. Ahoniemi Sakke SF Corally 16 9 7 10 10
