dtm :: I broke the upper bumper brace also, twice, both the standrd and optional awhile back. Since then I have improved my driving and choice of lines. At the same time I made an upper bumper brace out of 1 mm titanium. The car is a tank in the front in.

As for the Upper bumper...quit cutting the holes out...I noticed that there has already been strengthening from the very first batch to the current version!

Does anyone know the ratio for the xray? I am trying to match some gear ratios and need the magic number... I misplaced my tuning book and didn't have it memorized yet...

Thanks

Thanks guys...

I was running my T1 this weekend aganist a Mission and the mission was pulling me quite a bit. Now I was on a 7.65 ratio and he was on a 7.59. I am running one of those new Core stock motors from Orion (I don't know what he was running)... I don't know if those Orion motors are any good, just wanted to try something different, but it was over 185 degrees when I pulled it from the track (it was 100 here yesterday)

Do you have to gear this car typically higher? You guys have been racing with the T1 alot longer than me, any advice?

Thanks

It all depends on the track.. I am running my T1 with a P2k and the track is indoor ozite carpet and fairly technical. The gearing is 100/31 with my tires trued to 57mm. Hope this helps

I have not had to gear my car higher to keep up with the others. I have a friend that gears his TC3 to 5.75 and when I gear near that FDR I can catch him. I actually go down a tooth and manage to stay with the front runners.

There must be something binding or something that is not as free as it could be.

A friend of mine had his drivetrain so free it was like a rollerblade.. I mean you can work this car to be very silky smooth. When you take off your pinion how does it feel?

kansasracer: I was running a Peak Hellfire. The Core and Hellfire are pretty much identical motors. Same can, armarature and brushes.

Tommy's car was actually faster than mine and he was running a Lightspeed/MVP at a final ratio of about 7.53 I believe.
