Can't you get a little more steering by moving some ballast to the front of the car?

This car can be very competitive on smaller speeds if maintained properly of course . I'm running 13T brushless and I'm in the front runners with my T1 FK 04 , faster than T2 008s , T3R and TC5s . These cars are also stronger and more simple than modern ones . I recomend the modern layout because the battery on the side , simply because LiPOs are mostly in that layout .

Received my order ( set of bearings and 3x180 rear belt ) directly from Xray today , unfortunately I received a set of T2/T3 bearings !!!

Do you have any photos of your setup and specs regarding the ballast? are you running on carpet or asphalt?

yes, but it will also add additional total weight to the car. now i am at 1440 with 15g extra in the front and 30g on the servo side to balance out the ESC. if i add more weight to get close to 50% front, the car would weigh close to 1480, and the track minimum is 1400. i prefer to have the car lighter, eventhough the back may be heavier, maybe i will try a little harder spring at the back next time.

Good day!

Here are some pictures of my car with the latest configuration. I have moved the servo to the left hand side, to do this I had to rotate the bearing holders for the steering servo saver 180* so that the steering arm would clear the bulkhead on the left side. Because of this both diffs had to be fliped over so the belt would clear the servo saver.

The care is ballenced from left to right. The front end weights in at 702g and the rear end is 695g. I have one 7g weight on the rx to ballance the car. All weights are with the body on.

Hey does anyone know of a cool, cheapo solution for braces that keep a lipo from sliding side to side when positioned across the back?

When I had mine across the back I put velcrow on the battery and under the battery straps.
