Only the SMC Lipos will fit between the bulkheads on an FK-04. Other T1 cars will need a slight messaging of the bulkheads. I haven't found any other lipo that will fit in the car.

If you do this you will have to flip the diffs also. So if you have a oneway now it will be worthless. You will have to use the Fk05 oneway.

Any other questions drop me a line.

I have a 116 spur on it now. I took the pinion off for someting else. So you would have to figure FDR based on that. With that spur, I have about 1/16 between the belt and the motor.

That Spur was used on a pretty large parking lot track with full timing on the motor.

Are you running on carpet or outside? Which way are you running the battery?

We are running on carpet. I have an smc 5000 lipo mounted on the right side. I added 3/4 of an ounce to the left side to balance it out and also to bring it up to weight.

Default T1FK04 brushless gearing and motor fan.

Good day!

So my T1FK04 with an Orion 17.5 brushless and a GTB speedo, I am using a 84 tooth spur and a 37 tooth pinion for a FDR of 4.018. My temps after a 6 min race are about 155. I have also managed to put in a fan in front of the motor between the bulkheads with double sided tape. Here are some pictures of the fan. Even though it dosnt show well in the pics, there is enough space between the fan and battery to allow for air to enter the fan.

That is an awesome job on the bracket and is great for a brushed motor to cool the brushes. My motor is Brushless so cooling the end bell would not do mutch for it. I just tried to increase the air flow around the motor as there is not mutch where it is located.

Love the T1 FK04 ! The car is perfect ! I run it competitively in our 13T BS class againts numerous new TCs like the T3 , T2 008 , Asso TC5 , Yokomos , .... In fact my friend and I are the first 2 overall in the Croatian championship (my first season ) : he's running a FK05 and I'm with my loved FK04

The car needs to be taken care of with love and it will be toe-to-toe with any modern chassis. I also have a feeling it's a lot stronger than any modern cars (lot's of guys in the championship had problems and broken parts , I'm the only one who didn't - hope I didn't jinx it now )

Hope to exchange experiences with you T1 guys I'll post pics if you want to
