Intellect makes some 4200 lipos that will fit but need to be taped in because they are too long for the straps...see my post on the previous page for more details and part #, also the SMC 4900 saddle pack lipos will fit and they may even be small enough to use the battery straps, but are taller than a normal nimh pack so the strap posts will need to be shimmed. If you aren't racing, maxamps has a non-hardcase saddle lipo that will fit the straps as well, but I'm not sure of the mah of that pack. As far as bodies go, the Mazda Speed6 is tough to beat for rubber tire stock touring...if it is a truck you are after I imagine HPI probably makes one for touring chassis', just make sure it is for 190mm. Speed controls...brushed or brushless? The Tekin RS/RS Pro are about the smallest footprint around, but there is enough room to mount just about every major brand if you stack the receiver on top of the servo. I highly recommend the SpeedPassion GT series...the SP motors are fast and the programming card for the speedo makes programming a breeze. If you are running strictly brushed, the LRP Quantum Competition 2 is very small and can be picked up used for under 40 bills.

19T is the next step up from 27T...try a Checkpoint Money Motor or Trinity Komodo Dragon.

Is that the 4800 lipo from TS? I wasn't even aware of this battery until I saw your post so I looked it up on the TS website...what are the dimensions of each pack and do they fit the factory battery straps? Better yet let's see some pics! I see that they are coming out with a ROAR legal hard case version soon

Default are these XRAY shocks ??

Hi there. Just bought a cheap T1.
Are these really XRAY shocks??
They look more like the generic blue metal shocks

Most of what the seller said about the car turned out to be false. Its not a factory kit.
Was cheaper than my used TT01 so cant really complain

1101 - The car you bought is a mutt. It has T1R bulkheads and a Factory Kit rear shock tower. The shocks are not stock Xray. If you buy Xray shocks for it, buy the T2 shocks part # 302301 - http://www.thercshack.com/xra308301t...et4-step2.aspx

You may not need, them but if you buy them thats what you should use. With the Factory Kit shock tower you will have problems running the stock older shocks - they need to be short!!

I have 4 of the older cars with the newest being an FK04/Factory kit. Will this be a carper car/Foam or VTA?

Good eye there Spd...T1 Raycer with some nice upgrades. I see aluminum steering blocks, ultra-tune front shock tower, graphite upper bumper mount, and the FK rear shock tower you mentioned. I don't recognize the shocks, give them a good cleaning and some fresh oil and see how well they work. If you decide to pick up some genuine bonafide fo sho XRay shocks (or any other T1 part for that matter), The RC Shack is THE place to go. Did you get any spares or other goodies with the car?

PS 1101 - That upper front bumper has been long discontinued. If you have the extra cash get a newer one and put that off to the side. It isnt the strongest and It may be worth something to someone someday .. lol

You shouldn't be dissapointed in the car...

No spares supplied (got a good batt included thou, thats worth 1/4 the price I paid). The term mutt is a bit harsh for my new car, even if its appropriate
I think the shocks are 3Racing/Yeah Racing cheapies (given they arnt XRAY). Would Tamiya TRF's fit ??(easier to get locally)
The diffs seem to be on back-to-front as the one-way on the layshaft is connected to the REAR belt.

Its going to be my drift car untill my driving improves, dont want to crash it at high speed.

so has anyone here tried out the 4.5deg c hub set on asphalt with the FK04 saddle car? i have tried it out on a FK05 previously and it was killer but not FK04 though as back then when i had the kit, the 4.5deg hub set wasnt out yet. i just gotten a FK04 back to run saddle lipo with 10.5t b/less on asphalt.
