Cody did I see your FK05 in the for sale section?? Say it ain't so!

Good news FK04 owners! I found some ROAR legal lipo saddles that will fit the FK04 and are a nice alternative to the $130 SMC's...got mine on fleabay for less than 80 bucks shipped! Intellect 4200 maH 30C, part# TP2S4200V1...and I think Trinity is selling these rebranded for $100+. The best part...bullet connectors on the positive, negative, AND jumper wires! They were shipped from HK, so it took about 2 weeks to get them (including 4 days in customs). They are too long for the battery straps so they will have to be taped in, and I know I have complained about chassis flex without the straps in the past but I am gonna suck it up Haven't had a chance to run them on-track yet, but just blasting up and down my driveway I don't notice any loss in punch over my matched Orion 4200 Nimh so my hopes are high! I'll get some pics up of the whole shootin match as soon as I can get my hands on the gf's digital camera...my phone pics just won't do it justice

Chris I saw you posted over in the SP thread...did you get your issues resolved? I'm running the GT LPF V1.1 so I may be able to help...shoot me a PM.

That looks nice rocky, how close was the lipo to fitting inside the straps?

Cody sorry to see you going to the darkside, man if you were having issues with the xray shocks wait till you get ahold of the tc5, brings new meening to the phrase POS. Those shocks leak like a sive, everyone around here that tried that car sold it and went on or used the tamiya or xray shocks.

[QUOTE=chris moore;5470476]That looks nice rocky, how close was the lipo to fitting inside the straps? QUOTE]

Probably 3mm give or take...my digital calipers say 68.6mm per pack. There are a second set of holes outboard of the strap mounting holes that I think could be used (with a little grinding on the rear bulkhead to allow the pack to slide back a mm or so) if you know someone who can CNC longer straps. I may try it in the future but for right now I'll just deal with the strapping tape. I used 2 spare hingepin mounts screwed to existing holes in the center of the chassis, and 2 bulkhead mounting screws (the short ones) with a locknut on the outside of the packs to keep them from sliding around. Now I just need somewhere to hide those ugly servo and esc leads while still having enough slack to unplug the esc from the receiver so I can use the SP program card!

PS: I need a pair of light blue and a pair of white springs if anyone has some they could part with

Hmm yea it looked like there was a mounting hole on the chassis in front of the lipo that could be used. As to the wires I bundle them together and shrinkwrap them. There are some specility tools that you can use to cut and shorten the wires, but thats alot to go through. Heres a pic of what I did on one of my 1/12's.

Thanks for the offer to help on my SP esc, unfortuatly I'm not using the GT but the more budget minded feigro esc. I've gone through the programing several times, but this thing is just junk as far as I can tell. And only thing the guys that support sp say is to follow the dirrections, ya I'd never have thought of that on my own.
