Nismo,
Looks like a BMI chassis, correct? I see you are using the Team Tamale rear camber link blocks. Did the mounting holes on the shock tower line up for you?

Nismo....make sure you bring a spare body with you for this weekend.

One of the locals painted a 12th scale body with Spazstix paint that looked to be a similar colour and the car looked great sitting still, but there were areas of the track where the colour would shift and look dangerously close to the colourof the ozite causing him to momentarily lose track of the car.

It is the BMI 350 chassis. The holes didn't line up on the BMI shock towers but the camber link is parallel to the driveshaft.

It might work fine on your track with your lighting..and it looks great....just wanted to pass on a local's experience so that you're prepared in case it doesn't work out

Default axle angles?

Ive been trying to setup my EVO2 for an upcoming indoor race, following Josh Cyruls setup as close as i can (without going to c-hub) and im noticing an extreme angle in my front axles. This is a bad thing isnt it? Whats the best way to level them out?

A C-hub setup for a high traction foam race may not translate well to a rubber pivotball car...

Although...the arms are the same effective length so maybe? it could be close?

The axle angle should be the same on either C-Hub or Pivot ball....the center of the tire is still where the axle connects, and the outdrive is still the other end...period...

If you have ever had C-hub on the car though, make sure you are usingthe proper front axles, as thereis a difference in the wheel hex link (which MAY effect angle)

well, im planning on putting foam on, i just havent recieved them yet.

All i did was add 3deg of anti-dive and its worked out. Im just confused as how he can run 0 anti-dive and not have such an extreme angle on his axles, and running a 4mm ride hieght. Perhaps it is the C-Hub suspension. I guess ill find out once i get the rest of the parts for it. Thanks for your help guys.

Default rubber?

I am really considering buying the t1 fk. How is it on rubber? Is the thick chassis really needed for carpet? LHS doesn't have it, where is the best place to buy it? This has to be one of th best quality kits on the market today. I am REALLY impressed! Thanks in advance, Slinger

Default Tamiya shocks help

Hi Guys,

I need your help. I bought the trf shocks but can't fit them to my xray.
There are two types of plastic parts fits to the lower end of the piston rod a longer one and a shorter one. I've tried both but the ride height is either 5mm or 10mm and not adjustable.

What did I wrong, please help.

Thanks

5mm ride height is fine ( the lowest height for my taste ). If you want higher ride height the best idea maybe you can use the longer end ball plastic and add 1 or 2 white plastic ring below the piston hole to compensate 10mm ride height. It should be 6mm or 7mm.

If you need more droop, you raise the collar. Perhaps you fill in the oil slightly too much if it doesn't give you droop effect.

I suggest to use alluminium lightweight ball connector instead the brass ball connector. That way you don't ruin the groove at suspension arms.

The 5mm would be fine but if the foam tire wear more it will become less and I can't readjust it.
