Buster seems to have a big group in his area.

But the groups are not that widw spread. Many people bought the kits ran them a few times sold them. So much for hype, I like my xray. But now its just display more then raced.

There are eight other XRAY's in my immediate area but it seems that some have stopped racing altogether or are challenged with how to setup the car. Reading must be a challenge also....

At my track there's still lots of XRays, at least 10 or so. A couple people have switched to the Schumacher Mission, or back to their old TC3 or whatever, but there's no doubt what-so-ever that it's a great car, it's just not as big of a deal anymore. There's pretty even numbers of XRays, TC3s and XXXS's, a couple Missions, a couple Yokomos, and maybe an HPI or 2.

I cant understand why people would go away from the Xray, it is a great car, the easiest to set up and drive i have ever had, it carries so much speed through the corners it is amazing. I had an unfortunate incident with a pole indoors racing last week and damaged the chassis, i just picked up the new one with six slots, it looks like swiss cheese, it also feels a lot more flexible has anyone used one of these yet, is there any noticable difference?

There are alot of reasons, many that caused drivers to just get up and leave. I have just mothballed mine, its a nice car but..........its just not worth the affort anymore no get parts for. Too much hyper too little truths coming out makers mouth. It was a nice run, but the end is in sight. Too bad, it was a great start with a bad ending.

Please explain, the importer in Australia is not too far to go for me, and they have virtually every part on a wall, whenever it is required. Even the chassis which i just replaced.

tell me of any bad experiences other people have had?

Besecroe: i guess we all have to admit that there was once a time that parts were really hard to find. I'm from manila and i source parts from HK. Things are a little better now, at least now the plastic rear arms in HK are in in-stock!. It was about 2 months or so that these pieces were to be found nowhere. So i was forced to buy the aluminum rear arms which are installed on the car right now. I also broke my chassis on the car... took a while for me to the get it... about a month waiting time.

Aside from the parts issue. I'm getting pretty fed up with XRAY announcements (e.g carpet kit ). They couldn't even post what Jilles Groskamp used in the worlds... for all we know it might be a different XRAY already from the ones we have.

Anyway, I still do love my XRAY and i still race it (I have a huge stash of parts just in case... a bit costly though) Still the best car i've ever owned!

As for the setup issue... I don't think it is really that hard to setup. Yes there are a lot of tuning options and can confuse you. But it is just a matter of knowing what to change or adjust while keeping all the other settings basically the same as all the other TCs. If you look at it, its pretty much the same car as the XXXS or the TC3 only that it got pillowball suspension.

ANyone see in the new Car Action Magazine the new Flex Top Deck? It is One Piece but has a long slit down the middle. I thought they would have released that to the MyYSN Boards before the Magazines but I can't find the part on MyTSN or X-Rays home page. I unfortunatly had to sell mine and now I just race Nitro.

Default new parts

I called Buster yesterday and he didn.t seem to know of any new parts. It's sad they are in the magazine and not on the X-Ray web site. Does anyone know when they'll be available? The new top plate looks pretty nice. Does anyone use the flexible top plate?
