Default The DHI-Cup 2005

Will the X Ray team be "B" finalist like the worlds again ????

Will the team rivalry and infighting that hold back X ray from another victory ????

(from an x ray owner that competed at the worlds)

rubbers loose tenths after a few runs. Sure.. I could run a set of rubbers for a few weeks... but if you want to keep up.. you will need new tires.

foams loose very little if any from run #1 to run #20- barring any chunks. I have sets of plaid purple that I have been running since the halloween classic in october. they are still 57mm and will run well for at least another MM.

I quit rubber tires years ago and havnt looked back. Infact, the last time I ran rubber was at TORC.. i had a new set i figured would last the evening.. and they were junk by the end of the 2nd round. (practice too)

Not to argue against you ... but with the right set-up, I have seen some of the expert guys at TORC decrease their times with the same tires that they have been using for a while ... yes, rubber tires are not as good as foam when it comes to traction, but they are much more economical when it comes to racing since you do not have to worry about chunking ... for novice drivers a set of rubber tires will last a couple months ... foams - a couple runs.

I have to disagree with some of this - I've raced rubber tires at several different tracks, and I can say that there was only 1 of those tracks where the tires got better after several runs. With most of them, there was a definite drop off in run times as the tire wore.

I race foams maybe three times a year, so the large majority of my racing is done on rubber tires.

Hi guys, I am in the process of the c-hub conversion for my T1. However, I discovered that the dogbones are too long for the short arms that I am gonna use. The dogbones that came with the conversion kit are the 51mm ones with the 22mm wheel hexes. I have checked the FK manual, it uses 51mm dogbones and the 22mm wheel hexes too...but mine just can't fit into the short arms. Are there shorter dogbones available? Pls help!! Thanks lots.

Default Why I switched to X Ray

Here is a copy of the E-Mail I HAD to send to my sponsor...
Keep in mind I had made a big deal about wanting to run a TC4 this indoor season.. oh jeez...

"Sir,

2 more X Rays have shown up at our club since Christmas.

Middle of the pack kind of guys, top of the B's, maybe bottom of the A's, you know the type...
INSTANTLY quicker !!
I mean, like timed to be between .2 and .5 a second a lap quicker !
SO, I thought maybe it's the track, went out and ran with both guys, and 1 of them I just couldn't run with anymore. This will not do.
So, should I jump on the X Ray band wagon?? Are you laughing your ass off right about now??
Let me know what you think
Talk to you soon

Stu "

Thats happening at my local carpet track

Can't swing a dead cat in that place without hitting an X-Ray

The car is just so manuverable and steers so well

I'm an A-main top-3 Sportsman driver at my track (Sportsman here = Between Novice and Expert) I woulda probably got 2nd today with my 415 but I ended up winning by 3/4 a lap because of the Xray and (including this race) only have about 10 packs through that car.

Oh my god! Who are you? FBI or CIA??

I just like these stickers better. I am not sponsored by anyone so I have the luxury of messing up with things.

By the way. I was at worlds and I must say your sons drive incredibly well!!
