Default Thanx for all your help! :)

Just ordered an FK today, hopefully I'll get it on Monday. I've been wanting to get this car since it came out, so we'll see.

I don't know the rear, but the front is 302460. I bought one when I went to shortarm chubs, but so far haven't needed it. It's yours if you want it.

I didn't see the previous reply re the swaybars. Anyway, mine's in an unopened package.
Re the fan, I have the Associated Reedy part # 448, and you can attach to the hole on the left side of the chassis. It seems to reduce temperature between 20 to 30 *F.

How tight do people have their belts for stock, i seemed to have to tighten mine up quite a bit using new belts... not sure how much loss i will have doing it like this.

Default Belts

For stock and even 19t I have had zero problems running front belt all the way loose when new and one tighter now that they have stretched and one from loosest in back.

But-when i ran modified-the rear belt skipped under acceleration so i tightened it two notches. My drivetrain still free spins well even with rear belt tighter.

Bout damn time. You gonna have it ready for the New year's race in Nashville. I might be going. If I have enough money after getting a GFX, I might go.

How do you get the ride height lower on the FK with foams? I have the factory rear tower and foam front tower. My tires are 2.25 and the lowest the car will go is 7mm.

Hey Jim

I had the same problem.

I used some AE bottom shock retainers. They'll help lower the shocks down somemore.

When I use new tires i just go with the kit front tower. Car still has lots of steering.

Hope this helps

Thanks,Ill give that a try.One more question while trying to work the bugs out of a new car. The rear tires hit the bottom of the shock retainer on the rear. I just dremelled off the mount to move the ball in further on the arm. Is that all you have to do? By the way the car with Josh's nat setup is killer. The car carries so much speed thru the corners. A real change from my losi. It is so easy to drive.

Go to www.teamtamale.com and buy the lowered aluminum spring cups. That should do the trick.

Tony's race is a money oval race and Chuck's in Nashville is a points race for onroad.
