You have proberly heard this question a million time but i need to know because i will be a proud owner of one soon

1) What do you break/replace often?
2) Is the car quiet e.g silent?
3) Is there any problems running a mod in it?
4) Are the parts easy to find ( if you need to get parts )

thanks a lot for your input

1) front bumper brace, front body post's, they are the two things i have broken most....

2) Mine is still quiet even after 3 moths of racing on a dirty track...

3)no problems running a mod in it

4) In australia the ony place to get parts is CMC in Penshurst, other than that you will have to go Overseas...

Hope to help

1) You'll want to stock some font C-hubs as well and use the impact absorbing front bumper..other than that the car is pretty much bullet proof
2) very quiet
3) Ask josh Cyrul and Ralph Burch..they seem to like it
4) parts are all over the place and supply keeps getting better

Built the rear bulkhead first and make sure no tweak when placed on glass table.. then mount it on the chassis. Tighten the upper deck as suggested by Rob. If still tweak, loosen bottom screws of front bulkhead, redo the top deck and retighten the front bulkhead bottom screws. Even after major impact, I still found the original chassis being perfectly flat and no tweak from upperdeck or the bulkhead itself.
I got the tweak under control now but when i first put in down on the table with no wheels and loosened the top deck the chassis was tweaked (twisted on the rear left, i could tap the chassis down on the table, lol) So i did what Rob told me with the X-pattern shock and it leveled out. Then screwed top deck back on and wheels back on and the chassis was leveled.
I then checked tweak one more time with wheels on and just did some minor changes but i think its all covered now thanks for help guys. I'll let you know if i need some more help on it.

You will also want some spare hardware with you, alot of the sizes of screws XRay uses are not the most common sizes, I used to run associated so I had to really stock up on metric screws....

The carpet towers sit lower which allow you to slam the body. A must for carpet racing.

Dave,

I appreciate the info and I did check a few pages back and read up on them as well. I guess that I missed those pages. And it looks as though the carpet shock towers are the ones with the bump in the middle on the top.

Thanks again, Mike

Not sure what to upgrade to though. XRC or the BMI?

Any arguments for either?

BMI is quality... In regards to the split cell chassis that Nismo runs, it is only good for Carpet tracks. It will burn up your front rubber tires if you race on asphalt, too much weight forward.
BMI makes three chassis versions- 1-batteries moved 1/8 farther forward (more room for electronics), 2-batteries moved 1/2 a cell or .350 thousands forward (if you run small electronics). Both of these chassis are great for indoors and outdoors. And 3- split cell chassis, batteries on the opposite side of the servo side, are moved as far forward as possible, only for carpet.
Give Jason at BMI a call.

I own 2 BMI .350 chassis and am awaiting a split cell to come in the mail.

Default Interference problem.

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone would have any ideas as to by I'm getting interference problems at my circuit.

Quite often when I go past one part of the circuit, where a metail door is in the wall, my steering and throttle glitch very badly - sometimes sending me into the wall

With my other car (non-Xray) this doesn't happen - I'm using the same crystals as with the other car and have even tried changing the frequency, but nothing works.

I run on a counter-clockwise circuit and my rx unit is on the side of the car which is closest to the metal door when I pass it. Has anyone else suffered from this kind of problem and is there a solution?

Here is a pic showing my setup - can anyone spot if I have done something wrong?

I guess that is way most of Asia online shopping has become a threat to the other part of the worlds.
Can I ask where these prices come from? I once used Precision RC, I found they had the cheapest prices, but they will not allow me to buy from them anymore, Thanks.

markp27,

Have you tried the obvious things...

1. Change the receiver
2. Insultate the receiver with double-servo tape
3. Change the receiver position temporarily in the car
4. Change the motor
5. Try a noise reducer (shoicky (sp?) / capacitors)
6. Try a different servo, they can provide interference as well
7. Try a different ESC, same as above

If you have worked down that entire list and still havent solved the problem, I would say tear the down the door

I hope one of them leads to solving your problem
