hey guys,

I been kicking around ways to add weight to the xray to get me up to minimum for Roar events, asked a few of my xray friends.

Just wanted to see what you guys have done.

Thanks

I am guessing you have an FK, so you can put weights on the lower deck between the electronics, you can put them in the back near the last battery but before the motor. These are just options.

I run the T1R, so i just put a 20g weight under the car. And it seems to handle better.

I raced in the ROAR event at 4-FUN Hobbies in Hesperia which finished yesterday and I was forced to bring my X-ray up to the required weight.

Down the center of the chassis between the electronics is where 70% of the stick on weights were placed. Then I cut some triangles to sit on the edge of the chassis (in front of the servo and rec). Finished up with a piece on both sides of the chassis in the rear.

I thought that all that weight would effect my ride height more than the small adjustment I had to make to the front. Even more shocking was the improvement of the overall handling of the car. I plan to experiment more with placement but not to remove any.

horizon hobby has them and they ship with 2-3 days. be sure to get the right length though. Should be 22mm Spring Steel Axles the shorter ones will not fit, i think the short ones are for pivot ball (but then againyou need a smaller pivotball steering block, lol)

hope it helps

Any news on the held up shipment of Xray gear? It seems to be a worldwide shortage, the supplier I was intending to purchase from in Australia is also out of stock..

Good to know, thanks. How did you do down there?

Do we know the weight difference between the Xray normal chassis and the BMI 350?
