Im looking to get an Xray T1 FK, but i'd like to ask a few questions before ordering it..

I dont live in the USA so I shouldnt have a problem getting one from Hong Kong..

I currently have a Losi XXX-S G+, and I am very very dissapointed with the strength of the car.. Small blows will snap the arms like twigs, and the outdrives also break too..

I realise there is no substitute for keeping off the barriers, but sometimes its inevitable when racing closely (as you would understand).

I understand that it would be possible to break parts on the Xray, but have any of you had problems with them breaking all the time? I read that the arms flex a little, and this would make for a durable part. How have you found the parts of the Xray?

Which hop-ups are *must haves*, and which spares are *must haves*?

TIA Guys!

Cheers

the car is very solid. I would invest in spring steel front axles right away and that is about it as far hop-ups. I would also invest in c-hubs as well as the plastic upper bumper brace those are the only things that seem to break.

lets say i hit my car hard enough to rip complete sides off a tc3 and a losi, but my xray didnt budge and kept on going. all tho might i add i did re set up my car and check for bent pins(had none bent by the way) i think this car is the only car that i can abuse and get away with it and still be fast

Get an extra *Old style diff for the front, and take the balls out, and use it as a spool (by locking it down). Then get some extra of those plastic dog bone pin protectors.

Anyway you can cool your motor off is a plus. At first, I didn't believe how those little Reedy fans would help but I wouldn't run a car w/o them these days. It does cool the motor significantly, and more importantly I see no fading from the motor at all throughout 5 mins. I like to show off to people how cool my motors are after a 5 min run.

Here's what I did...

Dom
Dom How do you wire in that fan direct from the motor?
