How do they not work properly?

They are too tight, and not as long as the xray ones from what I hear.

You should just use the AE springs for the AE Shocks, and Xray Springs for the Xray Shocks. So it keeps everything simple and not complicating.

That is a simple and fool-proof guideline to go by! That is really the best thing to do.

Default Set Up Question

I've noticed that the outside edge of my front tires are showing virutally no wear. So it would seem I'm not getting full tire contact when cornering. Can someone suggest a set-up change to help. I run on asphalt with either Sorex 32 or 36.

My current set-up:

white springs all four corners
30wt shock oil, 2 holes open
0 kick up, 0 squat
.5 camber front and rear
0 toe in
4.5mm rear RH
4.0mm front RH

Thanks

For those of you asking about Precision Racing Systems gears. I'm beginning to wonder if they are still in business. I tried contacting, e-mail and phone call, them last week. I still have not recieved a response. I posted a thread asking about PRS.

also base your camber on your tire wear.

That's great, I ordered mine from them and hopefully it will be here this week. Was the box sealed when you got it? Nothing worse than getting a new kit and finding pieces missing' and the whole time you're just itching to hit the track.

Thanks I'll give this a try. I have a T1R and lack some of the adjustments but will incorporate what I can.

Anyone hear any news or know of a part number for hard rear arms for the FK?

I for one sure think the car could benefit from them (carpet/foam).

Also-I think I read that someone was experimenting with making there own-any word on how that was done (JB Weld, epoxy CF plate???)

Thanks,
Ray

Hey guys - I am looking for some info on the X-Rays. I currently run a Losi XXX-S (non graphite, even) and had been planning on just upgrading it to full graphite. But most of the guys I race with have switched to X-Ray, so that has me looking at them.

What is the difference in the T1R, T1FK (factory kit?) and T1 Evo2?

Here's what I've found out through extensive research:

The TIR has a composite tub chassis with the tall gears 2.125
and the long arm suspension.

The T1FK has all the bells and whistles including lower gears 1.77, short arm suspension, front oneway diff, carbon fiber shock towers
and a bunch of option parts.

The T1EVO2 freedom of choice came with pillow ball or wishbone long arm suspension, (you could build it either way) 2.125 gears.

There's probably more but I can't think of everything right now.

maybe someone else can add anything I missed

Sounds like the T1R and T1FK are about like the differences in the Losi XXX-S and XXX-S G+

Approximately...

FK also has new rear shock tower (lower CG and some new holes for camber links) and one of the most important features-a Mid Roll Center on the bulkhead.

And the drivetrain is Much lighter. Pretty much every rotating part has been shaved down to make it lighter (diffs, dogbones, axles, layshaft).
