ok help! I just decided on getting an Xray ...after racing years with the TC3 and need to know what i need. I'll be racing on carpet and do i have to do anything special to mount jaco purple tires to the car or if it can be done already. I am racing a monster stock pro and need to know what pinion to use WITH the stock spur gear. This car is the Factory Team T1 so keep that in mind. I need an answer soon cause the car will arriv e in a few days and i want the tires here and pinon in time to completly assemble it.

I am going to be jumping onboard the xray bandwagon soon. Just wondering about the option and spare parts...

Do the standard axles wear out - is it worth gettting the spring steel set?

As for spares I was unsure about the following...

spare belts
spare diff pulleys or even complete diff/oneway sets
outdrives
hinge pins
Any other good spares to get other than arms and hubs?

Also how much weight does this chassis need to get to 1500g if using all the latest small electrics?

Average at 100gr. Don't get any spare first, this car (T1 series) is a very strong car.

Normally, I would encourage spares but I'll agree with the previous post only because in a carpet track, I've yet to replace anything because of breakage.

I do have a complete set of belts, upper and lower front and rear arms, and almost every other component to fix any of the corners. I have found myself lookin' for a shock rebuild kit to cure what I believe is excessive oil leaks [from the top and possibly the bottom end].

It means the first batch.. even the newer batch that already have the 4 holes, the included part list sheet still stating the old 3 holes part number. I knew it because I mistakendly order the old one by reffering to the included part list sheet. Mostly, you will get your new 4 holes with the newer xray packaging for T1FK. Is a blue shiny box with T1FK printed as sticker, but some also still have old tower.

Ooj,Get the spring steel hubs in the front,It's not a wear issue on the stock hubs, they are just more prone to damage,For spare parts(even though I have never really broken much)I would have a set of hubs, set of knuckles,at least one front and rear A arms,I would also get the spare parts kit(extra screws, washers,C clips..etc.)I dont think you need spare belts..but you never know.On the hinge pins..If you bend one of these..wow,I think their would not be much of your car left..

Mark, you bought too early while using them too late , I expect you have the first production packaging box that shows the picture of the car and all its new items highlighted.

i aslo asked if i need anything special for foam racing or can i buy the premounted jaco tires (purple i think is okay for carpet?) and just put them on? Also what is a good pinion to use with the stock spur gear for stock racing with a monster motor. I wana pre order this stuff so when the car arrives so will the wheels and stuff. I went to stormer hobbies and they as well as rcmart.com are sold out of the almight T1 factory kit!! I orderd from rc-mushroom.com but i have to wait to see if they are sold out becaue for some reason, these websites doen't tell you if they have it in stock, u just order it.

Xray FK's are hard to come by as of yet because of the distributor change. I was told that they should be back on the shelves by mid to late September.

For tire, motor and pinion Qs, you wanna ask the local track racers what they are doing or running. They'll give you the best starting point regarding what to get ad what is a must have item(s).

Try e-mailing the e-tailers, they should be able to advise on their inventory. But as the previous post stated, this new distrbution change is affecting everyone right now.
