The factory kit has different ratio pulleys, so what is the final drive ratio and what would be a ball park gearing for a 10x2 in a 93 spur?

I use 8.09 (96/21) for Reedy PT 9x2 and works great. For 10X2 definetely lower final ratio number.

Any ball-park figures for a 17T on a small tight track? I'm using the 96 main gear.

No idea Mark, I also play 23T stock motor for 8 mins race. 88/29T at 5.37 seems very nice for Yokomo-YMZTST motor on small technical track. Hows the T1 working out for you?

I've not tried the T1 out yet, I've got a lot of cycle races at the moment, but in two weeks they are finished. Then I can start to concentrate on my RC again

19t gear question

ive been running some 19t foam and i just cant find a gearing for my xray t1r, my current tires are 2.155 and ive tryed a 120/41 and a 128/39(this gearing sucked balls because it was last minute before the main).. i have the 2.125 internal drive and cemelon2 pro and a normal cemelon 19t and im just stumped on how to gear this car....

thanks lazyboy

Right now i am running a 2.125 i think it is diff pullies. If change over to 1.77 would it make a big difference? Is 1.77 more for modified racing or stock racing, or is it just a change for either?

Before i go, another question. On my bros fk. I put that factory made diff in the rear but i didnt put the one-way in front. I think that factory diff is 1.77, i couldnt find another diff that had 1.77 so i just put an extra diff in from my other Xray. i believe it is 2.125. Is it bad to run 1.77 in rear and 2.125 in front? I tried loosening the front with postitioning bulkhead notch on loose but the belt is still tight. I think its from the different ratios. What should I do?

I dont feel like putting that one-way in, if i run carpet on a small-medium track.

Lazy- check with the other 19T guys and ask for their rollout, Also a few other tricks that help......

Shorter foams accelerate faster, I like mine around 59-60mm to start with. This will help on a smaller track.

The 1.77 gearset accelerates faster and carries more speed on the track. On a larger track the 2.125 may be better, but on smaller tracks the 1.77 can't be beat IMHO..... (I still gotta get a set...... )

Is the motor falling on it's face or are you scrubbing alot speed in the turns???

Does the motor need rebuilding?? Camelions don't seem to like being ran long between rebuilds??

Is everyone else running the Reedy 19T? I have heard alot of talk saying they are much faster.......

Actually, alot of people suggest the 1.77 pulleys all around, no matter the track. The main reason for these is that they free up the drive train, making it more efficiant.

Yes, it is bad to run the 1.77 pulley on the rear diff and no other pulleys on the car. This cannot be done. Either get the whole set, or take all the pulleys of your Bro's car and put them on yours!
