The right and left front arms are identical, so are the rear arms. Be careful not to mix up the long and short version arms.

I've tried almost all possible mounting positions on the stock Xray chassis. The best position, in my opinion, is saddleback side by side. Best balance forward to aft, and left to right. If you move the batts all the way to the left or right, the car will turn better in one direction than the other. If the batts are in a saddle, but are on opposing positions, one forward and one aft, you have balance left to right, and forward to aft, but torsionally the car would have more weight on one corner than the other.

The plastic holder is for the right side front arm, rear position. When everything is put together, both sides should be the same length. If not, check assembly of parts again.

i think i understand. Yes the hinge pin holder on the side with the server has no aluminum insert. the one on the other side does. This is for the factory kit. This is true for only the rear hinge pin holder on the front bulkheads

Yea you're right. But they should be the same length when assembled. I wonder where momotalo is measuring?

not sure. they should be the same length. Or maybe he is saying that the length from the bulkhead to the tip of the mount would be different. Then in fact they are different. So you can screw your servo in

I know what momotalo means
I have been told by a experience x-ray man ,there is 1mm difference concerning the hinge pin holder, the servo side is a std raycer item, the others with ali inserts are fk, If you put a raycer one on the oppisit side to the servo one then they will be the same left & right

but that does not matter. if you get the right one out of the racer kit. the distance from teh bulkhead to the hinge pin is the same. remember the racer has several different sizes of hinge pin mounts. If you have a factory kit. the distance between the outside of the bulkhead and the center of the hindge pin is the same

It's unlikely the wrong part would be put into a particular kit. However, unless machines are packing the boxes, anything could happen.

Yes, you are correct. All T1FK until the last batch (new blue box) has this matter. The one without the aluminum is 0.3mm shorter/flatter for hinge pin hole height when you put them with the alum insert one side by side on the glass table. But when you screw down (depending on how tight you ussually conviniece with), you may need 0.4 to 0.5mm spacer in between the bulkhead and that all plastic suspension holder.

Neil, thanks for bats position advice.

i was woundering that it would matter if you had a front right Medium 3 degree c-hub and you had a front right SOFT 3 degree c-hub on the car.

cause my dad got the wrong part and i was woundering if this would cause the car to go wierd.

do i have to have medium at the front or can i have soft and medium c-hubs.

Nick:

Hi,

There is a pic posted in the B.M.I. of the XRay chassis.(2 or 3 pages back) I think the price is $79.00 for the chasssis plate and top deck. there different colors too. satin black,Ti, Gold, Red, Blue and Aqua to name a few. the chassis/top plate are 3mm thick graphite. as for options I know there is a adjustable top plate being tested now. the chassis can be ordered with the battery slots in the stock, .062 ahead and moved in or .350 ahead and moved in.
any other questions call Jason at the phone number on the B.M.I.. web site.

Thanks
