What kit do you guys think is the best one to get?

Xray T1 Factory Kit
Xray T1 Evo 2
Xray T1

i already had the T1R, its a great car, but i want to upgrade to something alittle better. I was thinking the FK.

Thanks

Jon

Jon, the Evo series is simply that, an evolution of refinement. The latest kit is the Factory Kit Xray T1, that is the best one for performance. Since you already had the T1R, you can appreciate the quality.

The FK uses new bulkheads and short arms and do not support the use of the older pivot ball suspension.

The FOC (Freedom of Choice) kit released last year included both the C-hub and pivot ball suspension in the same kit.

Does the lube work well on the drive shaft joints? Seems a little thin. Should I be using thicker grease like AE Black Grease on the joints?

Hello,

I have two questions on the FT Bulkheads, are the diffs lowered on them or at stock height?

Next-are the holes for changing roll centers via the hingepins still a 3 change or less? IN other words-if you use the mid-holes-is it 1.5 of kick-up/anti-dive?

Thanks,
Ray

FT Bulkheads are the same height and does have an extra hole between the 2 setting in the evo2 bulkhead. so the change would be 1.5 degrees and not the 3 of the evo2

Sorry, I was talking about the "CVD" joints. They were referred as "Drive Shaft Joints" in the XRay manual.

suspension arms
knuckles if you run plastic
caster blocks

Pretty much it.

1.77 pullys
short arm conversion
aluminum carriers if you can afford it
kevlar belts
BMI chassis if you can afford it.

Theisgroup, what up bud, I just got my factory kit, on the kickup
/antidive the middle holes are the one's the setup say to use
are those holes 0deg? if so bringing up the rear will be 1.5deg antidive, am I right on that just want to know I am going in the right direction with my setup, the next question the bottom
holes are they use for any thing because if I try to use the bottom
holes the hings would not fit, if so what are those holes for, thanks.

Theisgroup-thanks. if I had the cash-I'd buy rc4sales' FT bulkheads and one-way. But-alas-caught me at a bad time.
But-hey-thats life.

Always testing and the Xray with the BMI chassis and short-arms just felt awesome for a first run. I also oticed searching for carpet set-ups that Josh ran a nearly identical set-up at Trackside as the Nats. Not suprising you say? Well-Trackside is a Jack the gripper track which means its HIGH bite-but the track surface is coated in Jack so its gooey high bite and the Gate was primarily Paragon which is different. This is cool because if Josh/Burch, etc. have found a good base set-up for every carpet track-then tuning is much easier for us plonkers.
