Wait... wouldn't this change the rear track width?

Here's my setup I'm trying for tommorow and sunday:
Front:
Light-Red springs
40 wt oil, 2 holes open
about .5* toe out
TRC double purple
outermost mounting holes
Rear:
Light-Purple springs
40 wt oil, 1 hole open
2* toe in (yes, I figured it out!)
TRC purple
Almost the outermost shock mounting hole ( I really want this car to rotate in the corner)
93 spur
25 or 26 pinion
Alfa 2.0 body
Anyone have any idea how that's going to feel/how well it's going to work?

Yah, about 4-6 mm or so - but I think the T1R suspension mounts will do the same.

If real car handling carries over, it will loosen the rear end slightly. How much? I don't know. You could put offset spacers in the rear hubs to compensate. Some wsc cars run rear tracks several inches narrower then the fronts.

Any way - when you find the rear toe you like, how hard it is to change doesn't really matter. There are other settings that have a similar impact on over/understeer that toe has.

Default Steering Expo

Hey guys I wanted to give you an update from my testing. I softened the oil to 35 frt. 30 rear shortened the rear camber link by mounting it on the bulkhead rather than the bridge. I set the droop to 2mm front 2.5mm rear ( up travel ).

But one of the best changes I made was adding positive expo on the steering. I ended up with 26% positive. Without it the car did not seem to have much steering response around the neutral point. Is this a Xray thing?? Normally I don't run any expo but two other guys drove the car and said to try it so I did and it really improved the lap times. I know what your thinking " his servo must be slow " but, I run an airtronics 94151 which has an .08 trans @6.0 volts and I believe 90 oz torque so I don't think it's a servo problem. I would really like to know how many of you ( if any )run positive expo. Thanks again for the help. Chris

Default expo

Chris...I never ran any positive expo and I had an Airtronics digital or the KO digital....the Airtronics is .06 and the KO is .07 or .08. I never felt like my car was lazy. Can I ask what you were doing to the monster motors? Send me an email if you want.

Default Expo

Hey Eric
I just talked to Wayne and he feels the car isn't setup right. Also, I had to run 90% steering throw to get the car around the tight corners. I don't know whats up with this thing. Oh well talk to ya later.

The car worked very well with that setup, except i went way softer in the rear, I changed to white springs. The track is very small, and the carpet is too new to have that much traction to stiffen it up. I also got a GREAT deal on aluminum C-hubs, $40 for the entire set! Front and rear! Tell me that's not a good deal!

I dont know where the rest of these guys got their info from but it is all corect. I live like 20 min from I-drive in orlando where the snow birds are and the factory drivers from the UK are there and I spoke to the owner of x-ray,( who I thought was mario, but was told it isn't, it is someone whose name I cant spell) and all of this info has been confermed. Cant wait for the kit.

I will get picks of alex lopez's car up as soon as I can
