Does anyone have, or know where I can find, a base set up for slippery surfaces (e.g. polished wooden flooring).

I have the T1R box standard and getting ready to start a new season using the Xray. It iwll be mainly used for 27t stock or 19t stock.

What upgrades are required, if any, that will improve performance. The 1.77 pulley is top of my list. anything else worth considering?

Thanks,

Yorkie

Thanks for all the input guys. I've decided to get an xray for now, and then possibly get the pro 4 as a second EP
Can someone tell me the differences between T1R and Evo2?
I understand that T1R uses more flexible chasis/top deck/shock mounts/top bumper plates. Are there any other differences?
I will be running ONLY on asphalt, whats your take on the 2 xray?
Thanks!!
Oh BTW, for ESC, I'll most likely be getting the QC2, I read somewhere about some sort of capacitor?? what is it for? Is it necessary??

I would get the T1R,then get the 1.77 pulley set, graphite top plate, graphite shock towers and you would still not have as much $$ into it as an evo2 cost and a faster car.I own both and my choice on race day is the T1R.I like it more than my shaft cars(yok sd,cuda R2,fttc-3)they are great cars and can win in stock or mod.

Arrow Please Help

Just finished putting together my T1R and was wondering if it mattered which way I put in my front one way diff??? If so, how should it go in. Should the screw heads be facing the right wheels or the left wheels???

Thanks for your help.

NUTFLUFF: If you put the one-way in the car and set it on the ground, push the car forward fast and pick it up. When you pick up the car the front wheels should still spin as if you are going in forward motion.

Hi guys, i'm getting my T1R in a few days. I have taken a look at this thread and looked for good stock motor gearing, but the number of pages to search through is overwhelming!
Could you guys give me a starting point on gearing for Reedy MVPs? The track changes every week, so i can't say if it's technical or not.
Also, i've seen pictures of people who have mounted fans on their T1 evo2s, but i haven't seen any on T1Rs. Does anyone have pics?

At our carpet track we gear the T1R and EVO2, with a monster stock, right around a 1.0 rollout. For the Binary Stock I dropped down to a .93. Now if they would only let us run it

Also, anyone who has a pocket PC 2002 or 2003, I have a sweet rollout calculator that works on there.

Default T1R FGR for 12 turns motor

Hi, I just got a new 12 turns motor and wondering the approximate gear ratio for this setup. I am already using 1.77 drivetrain ratio. Can anyone give me an initial FGR to start with? Thanks!

I found this used EVO2 with all graphite towers and top deck, and a composite chasis. It already has the 1.77 pulley set, and it has alu shock bodies front and rear, both sway bars. Its running the c-hub, and I think its good titanium screws around too, and its 130USD.... What do you think?
BTW, where and how should I check the car to look for possible hidden problems?
Thanks

Default Layshaft Bearing

Has anyone experienced a "blown" bearing on the spur side of the layshaft? Or is this bearing just a lemon?

Thanks guys.

Depending on motor and track you should be running 5.80 - 6.30 final ratio.

For example a Reedy Ti will like lower numbers (higher ratio) than a Orion or Peak for instance.

However the new generation 4 magnet Reedy like higher numbers (lower ratio)

Hope this helps
