In stock it seamed to kill some of the entry speed, in mod it seamed to work good thought. best thing to do is try it see how it works remember not all situations are going to be the same.

Alex used the diff in the front. the spool will reduce initial stering but give you more mid and exit steering.

On the 1.77 pulley set where is a good starting point on setting the adjustment on the bulkheads(belts are broken in).

The stock setting is a good place to start. I have mine loose for stock racing. A bit tighter for mod.

Hey guys, I just bought a X Ray T1 Evo 2!!! Merry Christmas to me! Heres the car I just won: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3165419635 What do you guys think? Sure hope you like it cause I already payed.

By the time it gets here I'll only be able to do at most 2 carpet races before they're done for the season, then I'll have about a month off until the brand new asphalt track is built and I'll be racing asphalt all summer/fall. How do you think this car will do on asphalt? Should I ditch the sweet looking carbon fiber chassis for something more flexible?

Also about electronics, I'm planning on running what I have at least for a while (since I spent about $100 more than I really meant to on the X ray, sure hope that extra money now pays off in the future ). What I'm gonna be running is a LRP F1 Digital Reverse ESC and Trinity Chameleon 19t motor, and a Hitec DCX recevier. What pinion gear should I buy for the T1? I know it wont be super perfect gearing without experimentation, and all that, but what would be a good start? Also for a servo, I'm thinking about the JR 590M, think its a decent part for an overstrained budget?

Is there any spare parts I should go ahead and order off the bat? It seems like its a pretty tough car, but I'd like to have an extra of any weak parts so I don't have to miss a race cause of a common failure.

Thanks for the answers in advance.

I like the 590,not to fast, not to slow, plus it holds up real well.Never had any centering problems or any other problems.I would run the chassis,it should be fine.I would look into getting some AE chassis protector tape(? not sure what to call the stuff.. )Good choice on the Xray, great car,can be made to hang with the shaft cars in stock..

This stuff? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LX2553&P=7

Yeah, I'm kinda worried about beating up that beauty... I'll feel really bad if it gets scratched up driving on the driveway or something...

One more thing, with the car that I bought, can you guys tell if it has the shocks that you can adjust externally? If it doesn't, what parts will I need to make them externally adjustable? Thats such a wicked feature that I GOTTA be able to use it. Also what parts will I need to rebuild the shocks?

psbarger,Thats the "stuff",worth the price.. ,The shocks should have that feature(I did say should). The best place I found for Xray parts is Stormer hobbies, they have the rebuild kits, and everything else you need.

Default Partial Paralysis

Hey all, My friend Sherman, aka "MILF" wanted me to let all Xray fans know. He wanted me to post this. Sherman was a very die hard racer, and you all might not remember when he was on the boards. Sherman is "Partial Paralysis" Let's take a moment and pray for Sherman, and a speedy recovery. He's a dare friend of mine's.
