Get to race my new T1R for the first time tomorrow. Can't wait to see what it can do box stock. Hopefully it will be faster and smoother and hopefully less fragille than my TC3.

Default Favorite Spur gear ?

For the Solid Alu Central Layshaft Set which is the best spur gear to use, that 3-hole pattern is odd

Thank you for your advice

Spur gears from Xray and Kimbrough will fit. I personally use Kimbrough spurs. Though they are soft, they are much quieter.

Default Low Ratio Pulley

Is there an easy way to tell if you have a low ratio pulley diff? Looking at the two, I don't see any real way?

Thanks

On the side of the actual gear it will say "32." You will have to take the diffs out of your car and disassemble them so the part of the diff gear that has the 32 on it is visible.

Drove my XRAY yesterday for the first time. Box stock setup, went 2 laps faster then I had with my FTTC3. Can't wait till I try some different things with this car.

Later,

Hey guys I am trading for a Evo 2 in good condition and I am really looking forward to getting the car. I will be running the car on carpet and on asphalt. I have a question to ask. I was told that the only prob. with the car was the rear cushion is missing pins. I am not sure what this is will I have to get this part before the car can be run, and will I need Xray pins or will something else work. I would really like to get the car on the track this Weekend and am not sure if I could secure Xray parts that fast. Thanks for any help, and after racing for many years I am really excited about this car . Thanks Kevin.

lowbugit, the pins "caps" in the rear just have some play in them, although it is not absolutly necessary that they be replaced i would replace them any way. i think they are about 2.50 for a package of 4. they are similar to pin cushions on a tc3, they pretty do the same thing. the xray part number is XRA305240.

Thanks Spazz I sent you an email alittle while ago about the NTC3. I am looking forward to racing with my buds again this weekend as the offroad racing has slowed down around here and most my racing buds are running Elec. touring. Thanks again and call or email if you have any questions. Kevin.
