No off power push here. I have run the solid diff and solid layshaft for awhile now and love it. Drag is not a concern with high capacity batteries. In the past I was chewing up drive shaft plastic caps but I solved that problem.

How did you solve that?...last time I ran my Xray with the C hubs it was still eating these up pretty quickly!

KMW :: I ran the solid/solid on carpet and had to go to diff/solid, but it never fixed my problem. I had too much steering, on/off power steering. Fiddled with radio settings also. The car would bite into every turn and I was lucky if I missed the turn. I did not have a good day. I ran foams and rubber. As you might expect traction increased by the second day and traction was something I did not have a problem with. My skills on carpet needs improvement but it had been a year since I last ran on it.

DTM :: When the caps started to show wear, while on the car I would fill them with a rubberized glue. The glue does not bond to the pin, just the cap. They held together for a few more Mod races.

Honestly, I don't think a cap would survive if scrapped along a board with a solid diff, even with the glue. I'll find out the next time I brush up against a board.

Has anyone else noticed the increased gapping in the outdrive part of the solid diff. I think there should be a spring steel version of the solid diff or a ring to slide on.

Have you try dry graphite spray on the cap and the diff out driver. It help reduce the wear and tear on the cap.

RCcadet: Thks...I may try that next time I run the car. I was getting through at least 1 cap on the front at about every 10 packs. This was with the C hub conv, had no real problems with the PB suspension.

When I looked closely I found that the drive pin was "almost" falling out of the drive cups with the suspension at full compression. I added a 1mm at my front one-way to take the drive cups out. This helped a lot, but those plastic clips still could not last more than a few days running.

I went through a couple of bags when I raced on carpet with a spool. But if running a diff they seem to last forever.

I would like $50 us shipped.

If you look closely at the pics there is no stickers, everything is hand cut.
