It's possible you may have created flat spots on the thrust balls. Replace those as well. When you tighten the diff, do so gradually and work in the balls into the rings.

What spare parts do you guys suggest for the evo2? I'm planning on getting one soon and I will want some spares of the parts that usually break on the evo2. Please let me know what you guys frequently break on the car. Also will the Associated springs fit on the evo2? I have some extras from my tc3.

The kit has a 93 tooth 48 pitch spur.

sup: I have had both cars. Sold the TC3 as the X-Ray is the hands down winner. Everyone at the track has driven mine and likes the setup. Just do not want to spend the $$ is all. I have a T1, if I sold it, doubtful, I would buy the EV2.

Come on guys I've asked this 2 times already.

Also would you guys pay 20 bucks more for a new evo2 with pillow balls and composite c hubs?

I have a T1. Ran the car for the last year, Like the last post, upper transponder mount/bumper support, impact front bumper and C hub front arms and rear arm is all I have broke. Get the upper support, impact bumper, front lower arm, rear lower arm and the extra screw kit. Always nice to have a few extra screws around for when you drop one in a race. I race carpet with the C Hub. Asphalt I would use pillow ball. Extra $20 for both?? I would!! I paid dearly for the C-Hub option.

Graphite (or new plastic) upper foam bumper plate, Front hubs (although I've never broken one!), double up the rear graphite shock tower. Besides that things rarely break on this car!

For 20 bucks you are getting an extra front driveshaft set and full C hub conversion....I would call that DAMN cheap.

Well I just bought a 2003 version with the composit c hubs and pillow ball for $350. plus shipping.

So I will need a good carpet set up for rubber tires and stock motor. I usually run sorex 24 and 28's on my tc3. So please let me know if I need a swaybar or anything extra before my kit ships out tomorrow. So i can include the extras. I'll want to use the c hubs for the carpet racing, unless the pillow ball would be better.

foams are the way to go on carpet. Insane amount of bite compaired to asphalt. With foams I am running front sway bar, red serpent springs front, 40 wt oil in shocks w/2 pistons open. Rear, yellow serpent springs, 30 wt oil, 3 holes closed. Ultra tune rear tower with shocks in center hole. Pillow ball rear, c-hub front with lower front tower for foams.

My local stock class uses rubber tires. Because when we ran foams we were about as fast as the mod class.
