I found the stock pillow ball setup a little too tail happy when using a one way diff.

One spring stiffer on the front was all that was required to dial it out...

Cheers

I was studying the inline cooling tunnel on the T1R, I must say that it is a unique design that puts added air flow to the motor, and at the same time stiffening the tub chasis.

Default new xray questions

Hey all,

I am a new xray owner, or at least soon to be. I have an evo2 with the c hub conversion comming and was wondering if there are any other thing that I should order with it. I also have a few front arms and front one way with it.

any suggestions would be great.

thanks

Consider 22mm Spring Steel hex hubs. I have a set I am about to put on. The alu hex hubs will bend from contact with the axle. After that has happened it is a bear to remove the hex hubs and service the bearings. Are you racing at the new Dallas track this weekend? I can help you there.

I only run is asphalt and to be honest I didn't find any advantages of running the cool looking C Hub conversion that I installed in my T1.

This T1 is more like an EVO 1.5 due to the number of EVO 2 parts that were installed.

But regarding the hubs, I found out that the camber link positions on the rear cause the camber angle to be less than perfect when the car rolls. This caused the rear to loose grip.

I had to put a higher camber angle to compensate for this "flaw"

The pivot ball suspension is excellent for asphalt.

I got the yellow and blue springs, but you probably profit from the new spring set for finer tuning.

The rear roll center bridge also helped a lot in keeping the rear perfectly planted.

And of course the front one way...

I use the AE springs... they fit just fine...mostly use the Reds, and blues for tuning. but you'll find that the stock white springs work well with the C-hubs.
The Roll-center bridge is included!

Your AE's will work. Antoniop touched on the rear roll and I also would recommend a Roll Center Bridge and I can show you how to make the adaptation I use on top of the rear hub carriers. Atomic showed me a short cut!

RCCadet,

Where are you running next week? I am thinking that jason and I would be out at lewisville on saturday. Depends on the series race if they go to austin this weekend or not.

and also was thinking about getting the spool that xray makes, since I run a spool on my tc3 right now. is it worth it?
