I can only comment on c-hubs. If you run your rear arms in the lower position on the bulk head your car will roll much more. I always ran 50 weight oil and adjusted clickers as needed. More castor will give you better turn in a little push coming out which might help on your oversteer. Shorter front camber links also give more off power steering into a corner. Longer link holds more coming out. I definitely would go with a front sway bar, but after much testing I have not had good luck with rear bar. Ralph, Travis, Jared, and myself experimented a lot at the Cleveland warm-up track and at the US Indoor Champs. Every track is a little different though.

Keep in mind that too stiff is not always good. The weight HAS to transfer. If the weight cannot transfer it will flip.

I do not like to run long wear rubber on carpet (aka gas foam), but I have seen some people running 42 front and 37 rear.

I am in the process of building a new EVO2 w/full c-hub conversion, solid layshaft and foam shock tower. I will post my set up findings after I race Sunday.

Going to try the Losi Alfa. Hoping it will free the car up a bit and allow for "even" better rotation in the corners.....

Warlord: I run a stiff setup now. I talked to Ralph B at Serpent/X-Ray. I run the red (1.7) springs front and yellow (1.6) rear. T1, 40 wt f and 30wt rear 2 open front 3 open rear. with front bar at 45 deg. Limited roll with oversteer and works great. Run the plaids & purple as Ralph suggested. On shore #, without a durometer you are guessing at the number. I have measured sets and the numbers float around. Just ask people who sell tires. Discoverd this when I ran a vector.

War- I am running 26mm trc foams. They work well everywhere for me so far. You can run jacos as well too. When I measured droop i took the resting chassis ride height, measured it; then took the height when the tire barely came off the ground. I subtracted the second total from the first one to give me 2mm.

I run the whole rear tire sauced, and the inside half on the front.

Trinity: When I talked to Ralph, he said to reduce the rear negitive travel. I run pillow ball in the rear. I start with 6 on the gage then measure the ride height the uptravel. I set my up travel to 1.5mm f 1.0 rear. I found 2.0mm to be a lot and a loose setup.

The guys at my local track run jaco plaids, purples, double purple, and reds. The truth is that my mugen fast foams were hooking up better than their jacos. Who says you can't use nitro foams. I was keeping up with them with a stock evo 2 setup. One guy had a losi xxx-s graphite and the other guy a tc3 with one way. I was getting around the corners quick when i was smooth controlling the roll. I was actually faster in the sweeper than both of the guys. I believe i could beat them real bad with a stiffer set up to control roll and increase corner speed. I don't want to loose my oversteer. I know if i stiffen the suspension by adding 30mm rears i can control my oversteer better. Just what i think now. Basically based upon what i wrote

1. Will anti roll bars front and rear help
2. I'm thinkin about goin with 2f and 5r droop measured on the hudy
3. 60wt schock oil
4. I got the shock set the one with 5 sets of springs. Which one 30lb?

Gee which option you listed says it will control the roll???? LOL Just picking!!!

Try the roll bars...

Also contrary to popular belief putting wider tires on one end of the car doesn't always produce more traction...

I would stick with the 26's stiffen up the car a little and try the sway bars....

If you like the way the car handles start using stiffer springs front and rear, if you are using springs with a 5lb. rate difference right now keep the same rate bias, just use stiffer springs (eg. 15lb ft/20 lb rr > 25lb ft/30 lb rr)
