Hey guys, I was wondering what the differences are from the T1 to the evo2? Is the T1 still worth getting for under 200? And could you upgrade the parts on the T1 to make it a evo2? Thanks for any info you can give me.

Given that the kit with C-Hubs is more expensive why should I look at the C-Hub kit over the original pillow ball??

One of my MAJOR gripes with the Pro 3 was the amount of slop in the C-Hub setup, I was hoping the XRAY pillowball setup would remove that...hence I'm nervous about going to C-Hubs again.
yes..the C-hub kit doesn't come with the pillow ball suspension.
but can't buy a conversion kit to change it to pillow ball. as with the pillow ball kit...you can just get the C-hub conversion kit..

I had the Hara Pro3...C-hub is full of slop..you have to shim it to make slop free. On the Xray...the C-hub design is the best I've ever seen. Quality and fit is perfect. virtually slop free!
unlike the Pro3...it has very little flex. and the arms are stiff and designed to take a beating.

The T1 is a steal at $200 or below, and 99% of what the Evo2 has can fit the T1.

I ageree The Xray T1 is a steal at that price.. You can easily upgrade to the Evo 2 Parts if you choose but performance wise you would probably see little difference between the two...
BTW where can you get the T1 for that price?? Is there a website??

How many of you actually use a different battery layout other than that like the evo 1 on your evo 2's???? it seems that is the only major refinement of the evo 2...... , things like a-arms, and hubs just can be replaced as you break them to evo2 stock........ and if you plan on a c-hub swap why worry????? then you can have a brand new c-hub car for the price of the evo2......LOL

The bulkheads with the adjustable bearing carrier (for belt tension) cost about $95.00.

I was just wondering about the T1, because I read that the evo2 has some other improvements over the T1. I'd rather have the evo2, but I was thinking if I break stuff I could buy the evo2 parts to fit the T1. Otherwise I might just buy Mikes car.

Evo 2 also comes with better bearings.

In all honesty the differences between the T1 and the EVO are not extreme. Most of which are small parts that you will eventually replace anyway. The exceptions would bulkheads with the adjustable bearings, and maybe the dual ackerman servo saver.

The EVO is a T1 with the modifications that increases it's adjustablility more than anything else.

The original servo saver is no longer available. I had to buy a new saver for my T1. T1 chassis is no longer available either.

Or even make your own with a servo horn for the price of a couple of bearings! Adjustable bulkhead are "nice to have" definately not a real upgrade.....if you already have a T1.

Espcially concidering yu have to tear the car apart to adjust the belt tension..... I prefer belt tensioners myself......

The looser the belts the better off you are. As long as they don't slip, looser belts have less drag on the drivetrain.
