The C hub conversion gives the car much sharper turning response....almost too much sometimes!! The turning angle of the C hubs is also larger than the PB suspension. You only really need it for smaller technical tracks. The original suspension is quite good in itself. I would not recommend going straight for the C hubs if you are new to the car....see if you like the original suspension first. However, I absolutely loved the conversion, but thats because I like really sensitive cars!

The cost of the conversion is around 100 UKP.....

Yes...you are right..UK prices are somewhat shocking!!!!

Don't know where you got that £100 from.

£149 is the cheapest I've seen it in the UK (only place I know sells Xray bits any more).

I think DTM was refering to the price in Asia converted to UK£.

The price of kits and parts if far far cheaper than the UK. Even after adding around £30 for shipping I am saving around £70 off the orice of a UK Xray Evo2.

Fair enough.

In my opinion you really don't need the C-Hub kit to start with. If you really want to try it OK, but I'm perfectly happy with the setup of my car with the pivotballs.

Yorkie: U_Dave and Mike are right. Try the original first. Then if not sastified goto C-Hub. I ran PB for months on carpet. Switched 4 months ago. I even ran PB rear, C-Hub front. Liked this setup. When I cracked a rear PB arm I went to C-Hub rear. I am use to this now and I left the rear alone. Gives more steering in the rear. Car is great!!! I sold my TC3. I will never go back to one again. THe quality and durability of the X-Ray blow the others away.

Has anyone any experience with the Xray and slippery conditions?

We race mainly on indoor wooden flooring in stock form. I should imagine with the amount of adjustability and the set up book that it would be possible to set this kit up to almost any surfice?

So from what people are saying, the C-hubs give a little more steering?
I will stick with the PB to start with, as I am always dialing out steering when racing on this surface.

Thanks for the feed back and I am looking forward getting my kit on the track in the New Year.

PorscheSuperCup, have you checked out the set up page at MyTSN.com? You can get a pretty good idea from surfing the rubber tire set ups there.

PorscheSuperCup :: Have Jason help you. I would give you my setup but it would require you have the same mod I have for the rear roll center.

JBrake

Thanks, I have looked there and many of the full c-hub conversions have been for a carpet track. Im sure I will be able to find one before the start of next season.

Has anyone here checked out teamxray in the last few days? I watched the swf on the new goodies for 2003 and couldnt really make out any of them lol. Does anyone know some of the new things to look forward to in 2003 from xray??

btw, heres the link to the swf movie
