Oh and the 42 tooth pulley has a ridge around the pulley, the 41 has no ridge. Makes them easy to tell apart in the dark!LOL

Have you tried the HD tensioner yet?? If I remember right, that tensioner was longer and the black delrin guide pulley was smaller in diameter.
Have you already checked to see if another belt is available ?? I only ask because belt tension is somewhat critical depending on what kind of power is being used. For VTA we ran it pretty loose. 21.5 shouldn't be an issue either and I doubt to many folks will run the x with much more power these days.

The hd tensioner actually has a larger pulley. The stock white pulley is smaller than the black hd pulley.

Well, I got it working. With a small amount of expansion in the tensioner adjustment slot, I was able to get the belt fitted and going. I did not have to modify the tensioner in this case... I only had to dremel the slot larger for the tensioner adjustment screw. Here are the pictures. The car runs extremely well but the belt is still slightly tighter than I would like. It could be made more efficient by cutting every other tooth off the belt but that might compromise strength. Let me know what you guys think. Torture testing begins this weekend to ensure you guys get a good product.

Btw, The pulleys on this car were unmarked. They don't have black stripes or anything printed on them.

1. I'll believe it when I see it.
2. Losi screwed everyone over that had older cars when Horizon took over.
3. Buying belts and parts to stay competitive is cheaper than dropping a ton on a clean slate.
4. All caps... really?

Thanks for the heads up on the new losi, but I would imagine the big thinkers at tlr will be looking to go to that ultra new 3 belt design. You know like the 22-4 which is a re-tooled xx4.....BRILLIANT!!!!

What, you mean like the Vaterra line they already sell? LOL Losi probably isn't going to do onroad anytime soon because Horizon is making fat bank off that Vaterra line currently.

I haven't been following this thread for a little bit, but *wooohooo* for new belts. Parts I could use are front control arms. I wouldn't mind swaybar kits too, but I'm not as fussy about that. I seem to have plenty of everything else. lol
