2010 ROAR Electric OnRoad Carpet Nationals @ The Track - Gaithersburg, MD

Glad to see some people starting to sign up. For those on the fence about going becuase the turnout is lite please consider supporting this race. We need to support ROAR and everything they are doing to make racing good for all of us, I know there are alot of people waiting to see what the turnout is but come on and let's make this a success.
If we do not support Roar then all the other races will be affected becuase there will be no rules or approval process to make sure things are sanctioned and fair.
I also know mimi's place holds a awesome event and really look forward to going back there to race.

its rough times out there and its a big investment to do 1 of these races. i think folks are just holdin on til they know they can do the event. granted MEOW should look in the mirror and ponder what can be done better with their regional and national races as a whole. yeh its tough times but last wkend south central PA was the mecca of RC for the entire world. Motorama had 470+ Nitro 1/8 offroad racers, 250+ electric 1/10 offroad racers and bumps and jumps had 350+ dirt oval racers for the february freeze.
Less than a mth away...
support mimi you should.

Yes you will be able to sign up for ROAR and the race at the track. The RMT will take entries after everything has been setup. RMT gets to the track Wednesday night. Our first order of buisness is getting everything setup for the race then we will take registration. So we may not take registration untill late morning early afternoon on Thursday. Please understand that you must be registered for the race to get on the track for practice.

Has ROAR ever canceled a championship race due to lack of entries?

The only esc specific rules I can think of in the ROAR rule book is no gyros and I think no active traction control. All esc's are legal in all classes as long as they meet the eleigibility requirements for electronics in section 12 of the ROAR rule book which says they have to be retail available 14 days prior to the event.

I need to correct myself and I do appologize. My earlier post was earnt and I mistaken.
If you are sponsored at any level ou can not run sportsman rubber TC or sportsman 1/12th. The 17.5 Foam TC clas is open to ALL.
Sorry for any confusion I caused.

For the Carpet Nats ROAR will be allowing racers to register for both 17.5 and 13.5 Rubber. TC, Foam TC and 1/12th classes regardless of sponsorship. Previous rules regarding mod and stock, winning in stock, or placing in that upper percentage are still in effect. So if you've won on road stock in any class in the last 3 years at a ROAR on road nat, you race modifed you still can't run 17.5. Hope this
- The event will permit the Sportsman Stock drivers to compete in a foam class of 17.5 Touring Car Foam in addition to the Sportsman Stock rubber Touring Car class. This NEW class for this event is open to all racers.
- The 13.5 Touring Car Foam option will be dropped.
- The event will add a Trans AM class for all racers to participate. Also, the WGT class is open to all racers as well.
-If you are sponsored you can not run 17.5 rubber

I stumbled across this video tonight, and it makes me want to addend just so I can watch. I think hoping we're part of moments like these is why many of us race. Stick around for the end.
