Agreed. One more year of college and I'll (hopefully) be ready for that level of racing financially

Very true indeed. I guess I have been racing gas for too long! Speaking of gas...are you coming back this year???

make sure you recheck your classes... they updated the class.




From ROAR website...

Feb 17, 2010 - At the request of the host of the Carpet Nationals, ROAR will be making changes to the classes offered. The entry flyer will reflect the changes. If you have already signed up and would like to make changes to your entry, please contact Ruben Benitez, Competition Director, at [email protected] immediately.

- The event will permit the Sportsman Stock drivers to compete in a foam class of 17.5 Touring Car Foam.
- The 13.5 Touring Car Foam option will be dropped.
- The event will add a Trans AM class for all racers to participate. Also, the WGT class is open to all racers as well.

Yes Dawn cleared that up for me. She said that Wednesday practice has not been asked for.

The $85 entry is increase of less than $2 over last year for those that registered online. Last year if you registered on line you paid the pay pal fees this year ROAR eats the pay pal fees so you get a net price increase of less than $2. This is a national championship. The entry fee is the lest expensive part of your race and trip.

I just don't get it. Racers will spend $100's on bodies, $100's on batteries, $100's on motors, $100's on tires a $100 on titanium and aluminum hardware to make your car lighter and the list goels on. Yet an $85 entry is going to keep racers away, that's BS. I just don't get how? Last years race had nearly 300 entries on an $80 entry where on line registers paid the pay pal fees. This year it's less than $2 more.

We've made changes that will hopefully have a positive outcome on entries. Support the host track. Mimi's is a great facility and this will be a great race. With the new rules and class changes, does this mean that sponsored drivers can't enter the 17.5 foam class. Or Is it open to everyone?
