The answer is NO! This is the exact reason new people get frustrated with onroad and quit. As someone else post Keep It Simple. You are throwing way to much info towards someone starting out. Every question has a simple answer and a more complex answer for a solution. No need to make it harder then what it is. To the original Poster your answer is NO. Personally save your $$$ and use the difference for other items you might need.
Whilst it's always interesting to hear more involved opinions thank you for the direct answer...
I now know that i am at no potential disadvantage as far as esc's are concerned by running 17.5 T and 13.5 T with an rs.

Glad we could all help! I am a firm believer in not throwing toooo much info towards a new racer. There is a bit of a steep learning curve and I think it all comes with time. On the flip side this is what this forum is for. There is more then enough info just on this site to even overwhelm a experienced racer as well. Again glad we all could help!

+1 Gitsum.

Save some weight and $ if you're only racing 13.5

I race 13.5 and only purchased the pro to future proof my racing, should I decide to go mod one day...
