Nova TURBO Two Speed Transmission..For electrics????

I was searching for something one day and came across this,a 2 speed transmission for an electric motor,i think its for boats but it says tc3 and other rc cars.Does anyone know of this or have any knowledge???Does it actually increase speed?Im hoping rc techs will know because id really like to have a 2-speed transmission and really embarrass gas car owners like the last 2.Im kinda representing electric in my area.

it's a waste of money. It will work fine until your pack starts to dump and your motor can't hit the RPMs needed to make it shift. Think about it this way if was really that great wouldn't at least ONE RC maker have them in there electric car?

HPI had an electric 2 speed back in the day. fun to play with, But not ROAR legal, so it went away. Now we have brushless speed controls that do the same thing.

Could it at least reach gas car speeds in a quick race????I have a 13t motor for regular runs,a ruby 16t for cold weather racing, & I'm making a hand wound 12t triple motor for racing gas cars & i wanted it to hit 70+ mph, it should reach more then 50k++ rpm but its just for quick races & I'd like to race equal in gear terms.Could this 2 speed transmission help do that?
