Same boat here.

If that's true then Novak better call the FBI because this must be a case of industrial espionage/sabotage.

I'm really mad now because my ESC is unresponsive.

Hi Guys,

does the Kinetic have (or any other modern ESC) have regenative breaks? (meaning the battery is charged when the breaks are appled)

Download the Kinetic 1.4 .rdd file tomorrow and update your esc using this file. If you still have problems call our customer service department and we will send you out a brain board.

All of our Brush less speed controller have regenerative braking, as a matter of fact if you have timing on the amount of regenerative braking is very high if you apply brakes at full throttle that is one of the reasons for large ripple current and low esr external capacitors on our speed controllers.

Nova link connection to the esc does not require battery connection.
ESC power is supplied by the USB port. Some notebook computer may not supply enough power for proper operation while running under notebook battery power.

Just spent the last 2 hours downloading the drivers and 1.4 update to my computer. Un zipped the files and such. Still cant get my ESC to speak with my computer. This seems like the most complicated set up program I have used and I have the Tekin and Castle too. Didnt even have to re read the simple instructions on the others to understand and make the program work. I have never been so discouraged. Tempted to rip it out and reinstall the Tekin or Castle. HELP!
