I love Novak Speedo's but since the intro of the Black Diamond (distributed by Team CRC), I am concerned about the Kinetix release. Has there been any new developements to the Kinetix since the introduction of this new speedo. It seems like a lot of people are impressed with its performance. I want to get a kinetix but I want something that is obsolete before it is released.

Any more news on the Kinetic? Are we going to see it at the Novak race?

I interpreted "see" as taking a look at it, not seeing it run. Kinetic will not be at the Novak race; Bob cannot attend this year.

We had a company viewing of the NovaLink a couple of days ago; it looks very cool. Nice, clean (uncluttered) interface. Hope to update the program features soon.

What features for the Kinetic can only be accessed / modified via the novalink?

Also, just throwing in my request for a future programmer card so no need to lug around a laptop.

We have been continuously monitoring and testing other ESCs as they become available to ensure that we are "up to par" with what we will make available when the product is finished.

Our goal is to make it as good or better than anything else that is available!

Most every feature can be adjusted without the PC interface in one form or another.

The throttle and brake curve adjustments are graphically manipulated, so this is really the only feature that isn't as adjustable without the PC.

There will be some pre-set curves which can be chosen via the one touch button, but the graph customization will be PC only.

Thanks for the info.

I don't mess around with throttle curves much at all anymore, did it mainly with sensorless setups to get them to not cog as much, if at all, or a setup that was way overpowered. Thats great to hear that it appears that the primary thing the laptop is used for.

As for setting via one touch setup, I think that will be the hardest sell for me at least coming from the convenience of a handheld programmer I have now. But I know it works for a lot of people.

Will the combo kits with the motors include Novalink or will that be seperate across the board?

Tower did have the Novalink listed, I'm assuming you mean the hardware, and not the application like I think NovakTwo took it to mean, it was $25 I thought, but now it's gone. And I doubt the combos will come with the usb adapter.

it would be nice if the novalink was included in some way, sort of like how castle includes a coupon to get the castle link for there ESC.

It certainly would be nice, and should be included as it' pretty much mandatory to use certain parts of it, but Tekin gets away with it. The way it is at our track is just a few people have them and do everyone' speedos for them.
