Default got charging question

If I am charging 6 cells of 3000 mah batteries then it should be safe to set the amp at 4 amps. So here is my question, what if its just 1 cell at 3000 mah? It should still be ok to charge it at 4 amps but it should be faster to charge correct? I am comparing 6 cells(1.2 volts each ) at 3000mah which is 7.2 volts as to just 1 cell (1.2 volt) 3000 mah. What amp should I charge the single cell (1.2volt) 3000 mah battery? Sorry if this sounds confusing

Most cells these days are matched individually at 6 amps and discharged at 30 amps. 4 amps charging a single 3000 will not be a problem.

Hope this helps.

Many chargers cant charge less than 4 cells. Check the manual first, otherwise you risk burning your charger.
