All,

NOR-CAL Hobbies is excited to be hosting this event. At out last big local onroad race we had over 120 entries and sedan and now 12th scale is strong in our location. This will be a great event to attend. We have great nearby attractions for family and you can fly into three major airport all within a half hour of the track (San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose). Here is our website so you can take a look. Its still under construction but has great photos and videos. norcal-hobbies.com

And the paved on road track is the smoothest asphalt track I have ever raced on!!

DENNIS STORTI 10-22-2009 09:24 PM

I had the chance to run last time i was in Cali and the track was just great traction, layout, fellow racers, and the hobby shop was some of the best i have seen hope work can schedule me out there that week i will be pleased to attend

:D

After meeting several of the NorCal racers at the TimeZone Gran Prix this past weekend I'm writing this one on the calendar as a "can't miss unless Charlize Theron invites me over" event. Ya'll are going to have to provide quick lessons for playing on pavement though as I've always been a member of "carpet's fer racin', asphalt's fer drivin' there" school. I've got a grand total of ONE asphalt 1/12 event under my belt.

And if it's possible that Mr. Jason Colgan himself might be there...I'd have to pack my (his) BMI TC3 along for a reunion!!

P2 11-10-2009 07:31 PM

What's the correct date? I'm seeing Aug 12-15 on NorCal's site and 5-8 on ROAR's:confused:

I plan on going:nod:

Is there going to be any Master's classes??

Congratulations. I was stationed in Alameda during the early '90s and lived in Dublin. There are a million things to do in the area and should make a great family vacation. I just wish Grandma still had her house in Fremont.

King of B Main 11-11-2009 09:52 AM

Should be fun alot of things to do up there during that time. Weather is going to be nice and all the guys up there are friendly and the competition is very good.

RBMike 11-11-2009 12:08 PM

I'm lucky enough to be local to this track and would like to say to all the out of towners that this should be a great event. Kevin, Eric & the crew at Norcal have put togeather a great facility with some increadible tracks (onroad/offroad/oval & carpet). The pavment for the on-road is a smooth as it gets and they put down some great layouts. If you have'nt been there, your missing out on something really special.

Come on. We in the SF Bay Area don't understand the words hot or humidity...Likely will be fog in the morning becoming clear in the afternoons.

Bill

Scottrik 01-04-2010 10:09 PM

I'm with Tom...NEED DATES SO PLANS CAN BE MADE

Owen RaCing 01-04-2010 10:10 PM

Some solid date's for the race would be nice. Better to prepare arrangements early than late

Why? We plan better a few hours before what were doing:lol:

Looks like I will be at this race as long as everything goes to plans:D

Chemical X 01-08-2010 06:30 PM

I called Norcal Hobbies and they confirmed that the correct dates for the race are Aug 5-7. I also found a post from Kevin Jelich on RCRacing.com which confirms this.
