According to Josh, he is no longer able to get many of the OEM parts to make a complete car, like the AE front end. That's why he just has the conversion.

You can buy the complete R5 front end from associated and then you only need a few parts to finish the build such as side links with hardware and rear pivot ball with hardware. The car is worth the effort. Drives extremely smoothly and consistently and is fast.

Yep, or another option is to pick up a good used 12R5. I see them in the for sale section all the time for reasonable prices.

Does anyone have a setup for a Griffin 12 for med/large medium grip carpet track?
13.5 motor.
I am particularly after spring and damper settings.

I used this setup at the NEGS round 3 race at Tri-State. I would consider their track medium to large for indoor. Their layout that weekend was very open as well. I've made a few changes to the setup since but mainly to get more steering for a tight postage stamp sized track.

You'll need to adjust the gearing and ESC settings for a 13.5 motor. I've had a 13.5 motor in it a few times and the car was still well balanced.

I am working on getting all the parts together to build a Griffin 1/12th. When using a Hot Bodies shock do you have to use a metric ball stud on the front? Also what length does the shock need to be for a starting point?

Default Griffin OOS

Well was going to order a Griffin in preparation for indoor season the fall, but they went OOS. Emailed Josh a couple of times with no response. Anyone have any insight into when they might possibly be shipping again ?

He's been at the TC worlds for the last 2 weeks. Probably just got back.
