Any one know a good online store to buy a transponder? and whats a good price.

Are you refering to a Personal Transponder? If so you can most likely buy it any big race. If not try it direct from AMB.

There has been a recent price increase, so if you can find them still below $80+ snap one up.

it's a monopoly, sorta, there the only company other than orion with transponders, they can do what ever they want, that aint fair.

Ill check it out. I see some going for 70 on ebay right now, but i rather pay a extra 10 and know mine is new and out of hte box.

well, sorta, they orion has there transponder system, but it's only meant for personal use, not fro running a race club. Heres a good analogy:: In stock touring, you can use a xxx-s, that works awesome, with little work needed. You can also run a traxxas 4-tec, which takes a ton of work to get it to compete well. In the end, they both work, it's just how much work you want to do, the prices are about the same too.
