I believe that I purchased the tape from Nexus. The nuts are from HPI.

The Avid's wheel hexes are the best on the market right now IMO. I don't know why TC designers ever ventured away from these.

BTW, I was able to pick up from where I left off with the 009. First day out with the T3 and I have 0 complaints.

More difficult to machine especially since it needs to be hard steel hence more expensive.

ps: The good thing is Xray have a real durable arm...
Is it possible to use the front front mount in place of the front rear mounts?
Does it clear the belt?
Same at rear if necessary?

Finished building my T3. Surprised it only took me a couple hours!! I must say, I was amazed at how well the car came together, not to mention how intuitive everything was. You could eye everything and know where they go. I probably used the manual only for shock install and diffs for the LiPo setup. Other than that, great build, great design.

Bravo Xray. Bravo. I guess it is safe to say you guys have won me back to driving your cars again!

Jackster, your front bumper brace is not installed right. The body posts go ONTOP of the brace. If you show up to the track tomorrow, I can help you out with that.

First time with an Xray and it was awesome, so much more grip than my TC5R.
Unfortunately I broke the chassis 2nd lap in. The car was really twitchy on the straight and went right to much and went over the curb on to the steel barrier and there was a bolt stocking out of the ground and it stuffed my chassis. I was only quarter throttle and I drive Modified.
Heres Pic...

Default It's not Xray's fault you guys hit the boards.

Seems they are going to have to redesign the T3 and I don't understand why an experienced engineer would have not foreseen this problem. Many of us did. Dang it, I wanted a T3R Pro.

I realized that after I took the pic. That was when I first got it. Thanks Harry.

The above problem isn't the same as others have had. Or do you mean Xray should have foreseen somebody running into a steel barrier with a bolt sticking out of it? That is beyond any RC car...yes car, not tank. There will be crashes that any car would break under...Mod TC vs. Steel Barrier, my money is on steel barrier 90% of the time. I'm sure if Stacky didn't hop the curb the outcome would have been different.
